Emotional Currency
We can agree that the desire for the transactional currency today; money, is heightened and unhealthy. At some point in the distant past, transactions ran based on trade by barter systems. Today, it's different. Money is the currency and people become a lot of things for it. What touches me is when we lose our humanity and touch with our emotions for the sake of this currency.

The prompt is however interesting. Imagine a world where money isn't the currency for this so necessary transaction we can't deny or avoid. What if emotions are it? Joy makes the highest currency along with other “positive” emotions as currencies of higher value. While anger and the like are the lowest valued currencies. And a scale system or something of the sort is there to measure and ascertain your “currency” for transactions.
In clearer terms now, let's say joy is counted as the 1,000 naira currency and down the ranks to anger as 5 naira currency. You can clearly tell now what your anger and joy can purchase you or aid you in transactions in general. What will the effect be like? Will this affect people towards good and positive behaviour or attitudes?
For one, I'll say that it has the capacity to make our world a better place. Possibly. This is because the effort of the majority of people in this world is towards making money; be it USD, Naira, Rupee, Rands, or whatever currency. Some have gone ruthless and heartless in their bid to achieve this and because they can have what they want without any consequences of their ill emotions, it doesn't weigh on them to be healthy about it.

Take for example the cartels. They have the money to do whatever they want, but such money was achieved by being ruthless and doing inhumane things that bury conscience and emotions. So, let's say emotions are the currency and the positive ones rank as higher currencies, it will be a different ball game. People will be genuinely interested in developing good emotions.
However, there's a side of people built on deceit, and even emotions are not immune to it. People have faked emotions to get away with things or achieve things. So, this might have some hitches as regards the point of emotions as currencies having the ability to make the world a better place. Nevertheless, in the long run and bigger picture, I'll say it has a chance.
If a world as such happens to be in place, it will make us more human and less or not materialistic. Humans are more invested in being rich than being human. And like I said, people go to the extent beyond the confines of being human to being heartless for money. Such a world will alleviate anger, hatred and the vices.

This will also expose our world to the possibility of being positive in thoughts, mind and emotions and the execution of actions in that line. People will be more human than ever. I'll certainly gather myself those currencies a lot; joy, happiness, and rid me of anger, hatred and the like. What will I buy? Whatever I want or need. I'll spend my good emotions “recklessly.” Chuckles.
It came make the world a better place and can also make it the worse place as people will start to fake emotions so there purchasing power will be high.
Yea, that's true.
Money is a name of any item or anything recognised as a legal tender, money will always be in existence, though the material of what is considered money might change but whatever material it evolves to will still be called money.
So if somehow emotions become a currency then it will be called money.
I don't think considering using emotions as currency will stand a chance against the deceitful nature of human beings, do you know how easily people can fake their emotions?
That's true about the definition of money. The point of approach was money in the context of what we know today and what serves as money today. No one would take stone as money today right? So we know what is classified as money today. That's the point.
Yes, I agree with that.
I understand that and I also mentioned that it has it hitches because of this very reason. That people will fake it to get what they want, and that there be a scale or something to check it or against it.
It's actually an intriguing discourse. And I appreciate what you've highlighted. Thank you.
Hmm, this is true. That means people with negative emotions will be poor 😂😂😂
Omoo, they'll be poor and wretched 😅
