April Fool's Day: Pranks Gone Wrong

April fool's day has been a mixed ride. Many finding some of the stunts pulled on them hilarious while others getting annoyed because they feel jinxed, it all tells of how much this culture is received. I don't know if to think of it as much of a prank day or to look at it from other perspectives. I don't know, but for the reasons that I'm yet to find an April fool's day prank being a wonderful and benevolent surprise, I think it leans more towards the prank character.

If this was something coined from some books, folklore or some history, I can't really tell how the April fool culture came to be. One thing for sure is that it's been here and it seems to be going nowhere. I guess I'll say it's an opportunity many find to have some fun while tensioning the other person. How much plans many put towards that day can be surprising; for the joy of witnessing the demeanor of their friends and loved ones. At this point, you could say it's all worth it. However, there's a limit that shouldn't be crossed if April fool's day prank must be carried out.

Many might respond to some sort of pranks in a mild way, without venting anger over the scenario. Like this one someone told of how she April fooled an elderly friend into giving her some money—all in the guise that she was sent by her mom who wasn't at home—after which she eventually revealed to him that it was an April fool's day prank. And guess what? He left her the money. Least expected it too. But then, others could go wrong, and some did.

Someone revealed how a lady April fooled her boyfriend that she was traveling, so she could show up the next day; April fool's day, and surprise him, to witness that shock and disbelief which seems to be the ultimate desire in the plan and execution of April fool's prank. Unfortunately, she met him with another lady. Now, that ended their relationship. Could this be said to have gone wrong? I think it went well for the lady, while the guy was a real April's fool day fool. Well..

I came across another. This one seemed to make me a little remorseful for the prank orchestrator who ended up becoming the victim. Narrating how in the morning he drew his brother's attention to the disappearance of his phone within the room. After much ransacking of the room, the brother couldn't find it. At this point, he was heightening the tension by suggesting they were maybe robbed—unknowingly.

His brother then resorted to using his phone to call his own phone number. Unfortunately, he forgot to put it on Do Not Disturb. He was exposed. Much more unfortunately, while the brother was going to retrieve the phone from where he picked up the ringtone sound, his brother's phone (the prank orchestrator) used to call his phone number slipped from his hand. He ended up with a broken screen. Prank gone wrong, huh?

Funny enough, no matter what you think of it, this culture seems to never die. Same time next year, and many years to come, there'll continually be this reoccurrence of April fool's day pranks all around. And yes, many will go wrong, many will go mild, and many might just go right.

I can't remember the last time I actively participated in the April's fool stuff. Had to be when I was like 9 years old. It's just like any other day for me. But those were some very unfortunate pranks. I also know a few people with pranks gone wrong.

Yeah, I can't remember partaking in that also, that should be somewhere far when I was younger. It seems to be like another normal day too for me. The pranks were really unfortunate. However, people will still commit to doing more.

It's easy to fool me that day because I don't pay any attention to the culture of pranking people on the first day of April. Like you said, the pranks have turned out differently for people and I just don't appreciate when a prank causes the victims to panic.

I might easily fall s victim too, because I don't take the culture to heart. Yes, it isn't a nice thing.
