A Little 2025 RECAP, and Unto 2026 FOCUS
I think it's time to do this. Yes, this is my Hive recap of 2025, even as I also look ahead into the future, for what this year, 2026 will offer. Actually, what I'll produce as an outcome at the end of the year. A new year comes with a lot of opportunities, but it's how much we plan and utilise them that makes the difference.
Before I dive into that, I must say a big kudos to @hivecreators for this wonderful initiative. This is beyond just doing something; it's an effort to make Hivers intentional about their daily actions on the blockchain, by making us find what to focus on and build on. This is more like a guide to intentional actions on the blockchain, which is a good one from the team.
2025 RECAP

I've been on Hive for a year and a few months. The impact however speaks volumes. My recap really amazed me. Coming into Hive was great. I didn't know, however, that I would be into it this way. The recap reflected all that to me. I realised that I've been on the blockchain for 418 days and was actively publishing for 264 days last year, being among top 5% of active creators. Phewww! I didn't know I would do that much, honestly.
It's also good to see that I made a good number of posts last year. How many posts? 306 posts in total. Just wow! I never knew that was how much I was blogging. I guess Hive has gotten a hold of me that I can't escape its grip. I had my longest publishing streak of 13 days. Yeah, I should have done better, probably. But you know those days that you were so engaged and exhausted you had to take some time off, yeah?
Nonetheless, I can't fail to acknowledge and recognise people who kept Hive engaging and interactive for me. The likes of @beckyroyal , @oluthomas , @samarijr0 , @ovey10 and @lecia89 . Engagement has been wonderful with these people. Also, I must say I'm grateful for how much curation support I've gotten from @ocd and other notable projects or accounts that supported me. It's been a huge encouragement, I tell you.
2026 FOCUS

Now, to the 2026 focus. With more experience of the blockchain, I'd like to do better. I consider that this focus will be a guide for me while engaging, interacting, publishing and whatever on Hive. For me, it's a desire to do more and better, and gain more than last year. That's reflected in how I want to show up and what role I want to strengthen on Hive this year.
As a blogger, graphic designer and video creator/editor, content creation seems to be the path; the role I want to strengthen. I've been doing most of blogging only. This year, I want to see how I can employ these other skills mentioned in Hive. This would mean more effort, more engagement and more exploring to do, leading me to new places and communities on the blockchain. It's a feat and distance I'm willing to go.
In relation to that, I want to show up with more creativity here. It wouldn't be about one thing, but exploring other options and also doing what I've been doing better and more creatively. I want to explore the blockchain more in a general sense; to have a knowledge of things that I don't really know and a better understanding of things. The SpendHBD program, Hive tokens, onboarding and more are things I wish to explore and understand..
Talking about onboarding, I hope to bring in at least 10 people to Hive this year. Maybe a small number. I've come to realise that quality beyond quantity matters. Considering that in the past, I've seen newbies onboarded who didn't take it seriously. And not to cut my coat too large, I'm setting 300 posts or more for myself this year. I know how busy it can get for me, so I wouldn't want to set what can be overwhelming. I hope to do more nevertheless.
Lastly, my prediction for Hive is at $1.00. I understand the current price, but that's the thing with crypto. It rises and falls, and I predict Hive will rise to that amount, hopefully. When it does, I believe there's a greater and better chance to attain my resolve of at least 2000HP by the end of the year. This will mean more stake for me, and more say on the blockchain. I look forward to that.
For now, this is the focus for my Hive journey this year. Hopefully, I'll celebrate these all at the end of the year in a recap.
