It's the 18th day of January and I am sure grateful to have made it thus far. Well, maybe just 18 days one would say, yet I see it as one that I can tag "so far". Happy New Year to you, community members. I haven't gotten the opportunity to say that to us all since the year began. Maybe it's because I'm kind of new here.

Reading through this week's prompt, I felt inspired by the option to share about how my 2025 year is going so far. With different resolutions made for the new year, and the desire to achieve them heightened and in place, sharing about this seem more than just a prompt to me. It turned out to become more of an assessment, with regards to resolutions made for the year 2025, and then considering how I'm faring at it already.

You know, I think this brought me to a realization that even as early as the year seems, one should still be found making proper assessment about their resolutions made for the year. It shouldn't be when the year is old and we are far into it, because then, some assessments can prove less fruitful. Making such assessment early will also heighten an individual’s concern and efforts towards their goals and resolutions for the year. So a big kudos to the management of this community for such a timely reminder and enlightenment through this prompt.

While making my resolutions for the year 2025, I made some intentional decisions and set some goals that range from big to small, difficult to less difficult, heavy to light and in all the several different ways that I could categorise them. These included personal building goals in several aspects of my life like the financial, relationship, skills and so on. I also had a resolve to see myself grow and make waves on the Hive platform. It's on this basis I'll like to share the journey so far through the year, and how the year is treating me so far.

Yes, it's mid-January already, and I can say that I'm on track in regards to achieving some of the resolutions I had set. One prominent one for me is in regards to my growth on the Hive blockchain. This was in a large sense ranging from building my hive power, creating a positive relationship with other hivers through engagements, exploring communities and becoming familiar the hive platform. Barely two months into the platform, I knew there was a lot to do to grow and make my impact on the platform. So yes, I needed to make some great efforts.

So far so good, I've been making some good engagements daily that it's gaining me connection with some hivers already and building a relationship. While I know that building my hive power isn't one that will come quickly, I knew as well to keep up with the rest of my resolutions as pertaining the Hive platform - one of which was exploring other communities. So far I have interacted with a number of communities and have also became aware of some others that seem to have captured my interest. It is for that reason that I am writing on this prompt today. I hope to do more in that regards, especially with the new communities.

Much more, being a graphics designer, it pleases me to always create compelling designs that resonate with clients’ desires, brands and whatever the case. It was something beyond just bringing pictures and elements and creating a “design”, no, rather it was about creating something that represents the client’s/brand’s interest to the fullest. Hence, part of my resolution this year was to put myself in a place where I could be seen and hired to execute such design works. Also, to improve my skills by taking courses and tutorials to learn new things, and better ways to do the old ones. So far so good, I've been able to make some good designs for some individuals these 18 days of January and of the new year, while I'm still on some. I was able to enroll in a design class too.

It was exciting to see that I was already working some of these resolutions to reality. Nevertheless, some are yet to find their place in the year. Challenging is what I'll describe the year so far, and so also with achieving some of those resolutions. But hey, we are not stopping, not giving up. The year is just getting started and I can only be positive about it.
