Larch Trail
In yesterday’s post I showed pictures of the “whiteout” or at least the snowstorm I encountered on my way to Eiffel Lake. A small lake located about 400 metres above the one and only Moraine Lake, Banff national park, Alberta. After making to the lake area, I decided to just turnaround and come back, as the visibility was not ideal, due to the snowy weather. The trail back did look rather pretty, with the sprinkling of snow flakes mixed with the yellow larch needles on the ground and above the ground. The trail itself was rather slippery in parts, so had to watch my steps. I did almost bite it once or twice though. Thank goodness for trekking poles. A definite life safer for this kind of weather and terrain!

Them shot's are epic on this hike, oh and yeah looks really slippery. I'd probably went down once or twice. haha
Can’t overstate how much them trekking poles helped out..thanks.
What about a bike instead of a hike, say a Cr250 Honda, come on . With a knobby tire , come on.
Like this?
Come on, that's what I'm talkin' about. He's pretty hip.
Good thing you brought the trekking poles! That is really cool, the trail has turned yellow from all the Larch falling on the trail. It's almost the yellow brick road! Too bad it snowed on you, I bet the lake pictures would have been awesome!
Great shots, those B&W of the ground make it look almost like ice all over the trail.
Yeah, I’ll need to head back one of these days for round two. Next fall maybe. It will bother me until I complete it. Thanks @thebighigg.
Damn! The place looks very slippery. Trekking poles are life savers in places like this, it was a good thing you took them with you.
Probably would have taken me twice as long without them.
Its winter here in Indian Himalayas...and we are waiting for snowfall like amazing photos you have shared with us.
Thanks for visiting, and hope to see some epic pics from your Himalayas this winter!
