Why is the crowd fewer in the fall? I thought people would prefer the season as a great outdoor experience and activities?
Later Fall is cool, also families are back to school in the fall. Fewer people. Hiking in the summer is easy to do, lots of people. Only the more serious hikers will enjoy going out during all seasons, except for maybe winter.
That explains it: school time, fewer people on the road.
