We received notice that Bybit intends to remove Dash and Zcash this week. Based on the grouping with Zcash, we can only assume it's from some manner of regulatory fear.
We are actively communicating with the ByBit team, and hope to resolve this. In the meantime, however, let's state for the public record:
There is no regulatory reason to remove Dash.
Dash is one of the oldest, decentralized, and well-understood cryptocurrencies in existence. In all major jurisdictions, there should be no legal or regulatory block to support Dash.
We have talked to the top blockchain lawyers in the space, and they agree with this assessment. We're happy to provide a thorough legal opinion to any parties interested in working with us.
To ByBit: We'd love to continue working with you to give access to the best digital cash in the world to as many people as possible.
To the rest of the industry: Dash is open for business!

Truly decentralized cryptos like DASH don’t need futures casinos like ByBit anyway to survive and thrive. Monero has proven this by being delisted basically everywhere at this point and still holding its value and increasing at that. Just saying… For me, I’ll just use LeoDex to get my DASH!
Absolutely. We love being on Bybit and other big exchanges, but at the end of the day, if they can't work with us, we'll be there focusing on our roots, on what matters: decentralization.
