In ancient times, it was said that the sands and deserts of Splinterlands were guarded by monsters of different elements, but some began to migrate to other areas, as they felt threatened by an unknown creature, this creature belongs to the neutral element, his name is Sand Worm, but previously no one knew his name and also did not know his abilities, therefore, many felt afraid to face this unknown creature.

One of the main places that Sand Worm inhabited was the deserts of Draykh-Nahka, this place many years ago was a very visited place by the creatures of Splinterlands, as they traveled the area, because it was the shortest way to reach other lands and docks, but this began to change when the walkers and travelers disappeared without a trace. At first, it was difficult to decipher what was happening. It was only known that the worms were the only ones that inhabited the area and were found underground, as well as being very peaceful.

But the evolution and the hunger that these creatures felt, made them acquire new abilities and become aggressive; they only wanted to taste blood and each time they travelled more kilometres, their bodies began to adapt to different areas and even began to appear in the forests and swamps, that is to say, humidity and water where no longer an impediment for the Sand Worm species. They became capable of leaping into the air and reaching birds, the Sand Worm's body seemed to have the momentum of a spring.

This news spread among all the creatures of the Splinterlands, from then on, creatures of other elements preferred to walk outside the lands of Draykh-Nahka, but from time to time a Sand Worm also invaded other areas, but the real hell was Draykh-Nahka, for whoever passed through these areas did not survive to tell the tale, as being on the ground or in the air was not safe, regardless of the creature's element, they were not safe from the group of Sand Worms, also known as the desert killers.

Since Sand Worm dominated the Draykh-Nahka deserts, in addition to visiting nearby areas, all creatures of other elements avoided passing through the area, and the settlements became isolated from the area, now preferring to travel by boat, even if the journey was longer, as they had to turn around or go to another end of Draykh-Nahka.

Thus began this legend of a creature that was peaceful and evolved for their needs. Sand Worm became so strong that their power increased significantly, their ability to attack from anywhere made them a nightmare for their adversaries.
