Christmas 1989? and Football

I am 99% sure that this photo is from Christmas 1989. This is at my grandmother's house and traditionally, when I was a kid, we would open presents Christmas morning but then have another round of presents in the afternoon when my aunt and cousins came over. The only problem with this timeline is the football game on the TV. There was no Christmas day football game in 1989 (though there was one at night). I tried the best I could to identify what game this was to figure out what day this was but haven't had any luck.

Clearly I'm wrong about this being Christmas day 1989. My best guess here is that my Aunt and cousins came over a day or two later instead of Christmas day this year. I don't explicity remember this but it is enitrely possible. But it turns out this doesn't work either. Christmas day was a Monday and there wouldn't have been any football games again until the 31st. So the next most likely explanation is that this was really Christmas Eve and this was one of the games on that day (Sunday).

Having said that, I tried to identify the teams playing and had little luck. This snapshot did happen to catch a list of names which you can almost sort of make out. But I had no luck searching for those names...at least that made any sense. Here is the text I see when I enlarge this photo:

I believe the text at the very top says "Linebackers". Then each of the next lines starts with OLB or LB which makes sense. So we have:

OBL (some number I can't quite make out) Maurice? Henry
LB (some number I can't quite make out) Pat? Doovich?
LB (some number I can't quite make out) ??? Drain III (ok, that's a really bad guess, lol)
OLB (some number I can't quite make out) Eddie Miles

I had some guesses for the numbers too but for the most part they didn't really make sense for linebacker numbers which are usually higher numbers.

Now I did find a couple of football players named Eddie Miles but neither would have been playing a game anywhere near Christmas 1989 as far as I can tell. I spent a stupid amount of time searching lists of players on just about every team even looking at adjacent years in case I was off (but I don't think I am). None of the linebackers I found looked close to these names.

Can anybody identify what game this is? I'm starting to think this photo is from an alternate reality.
