Well, until and unless there is some other species to "own" territory on another planet then sure, why not us humans? Looked at another way, what would be moral about someone preventing me getting in a spaceship and going off to claim some piece of land on another planet (that wasn't already owned by someone else anyway). Nations on Earth fighting over land on other planes is certainly something to consider but it's somewhat a separate issue than whether or not we should go there in the first place.

Consider the scenario just like the animals on our own planet, they used to be the owners of the wildlife where they thrived, us humans overtook it for our own benefit. Ofcourse they can't really put up any resistance to our advances but it feels morally incorrect towards them. Similarly we're unaware of the territories if there is some sort of beings or not and if there are we might still be able to claim it but would that be right ? All in all it's quite a complex situation all the way.
