Progress Update - Steps Forward but Three Back

This week was the first week that I have ever notice my HiveBuzz Hive Power Ranking falling. I fell three positions in the ranking. So even though I am making progress in growing my account, I am not keeping up. Others are growing their account faster. I did notice a few names on the list that I passed which means that even more than three people passed me in the rankings this week.

This just shows the importance of being active on a consistent basis. Just think how many ranked positions I would have fallen if I had not been growing my account and active on a daily basis.

Hive Target

My account growth is slow but I have been consistent over the past month so getting back into the habit of creating content on a daily basis. However I did miss two last this past week. The earnings from those two days will make my next week earnings a little lower than the past few weeks.

Growing my account is very important. My weekly reports help me see how my account has grown from the activity that I expended. My goal is to reach 5000 Hive Power. My current Hive balance is 2,608. Up 14 Hive Power from last week.

Hive Power Ranking

To help me see how my hive account is growing relative to others on the Hive Platform, I track my Hive Power Ranking. Last week, I was ranked 3518 and this week my relative Hive Power ranking has moved down to 3521. An decrease of 3 positions for the week. Even though I grew my account by 14 Hive, my relative strength to other Hive Users got weaker.

This was a surprise to me as I have never fallen position when I have been consistently active. I also noticed that as I go higher in the ranking the balances of Hive Power are not as bunched together so moving up positions will take a longer amount of time. So it will probably be more and more difficult to more up position in relative Hive Power compared to others.

Even though I have a long way to go, this is very good progress (growing my account). I am trying to continue to keep my activity consistent on a daily basis so that I am always moving forward instead of falling back or sitting still.

HBD Savings Ranking

Another metric that I track is my relative rank to others on the Hive Platform in HBD Savings.

HBD saving is an easy way to get a return of 20% APR. This is one of the passive income streams that I hope to strength over time. I do not have very much in HBD savings only 44 HBD but by reviewing it on a weekly basis, will encourage me to add to my savings more over time. I added 1 HBD this week plus claimed my interest to help with commitment to saving.

The Interest earned so far this month is 0.125 HBD. I am hoping to get this up to 1 HBD per month.

Currently, my relative HBD Savings ranking is 2228 compared to 2280 last week. That is a large jump from just adding 1 HBD and a little over 0.6 HBD interest. I would like to add a whole lot more to my saving of HBD to receive the 20% APR. But I will need to add it at a very slow pace since this will also slow down my adding to my Hive Power.

Hive Received Rewards

This past week, I created content every day so was able to grow my account steadily over the week. However my Author Rewards dropped to 20.52 HP ($6.13) with Curation Rewards of 3.61 HP ($1.08) as compared to last weeks amounts of 12.38 HP ($4.32) with Curation Rewards of 3.02 HP ($1.05).

I was very surprised to see my weekly Author rewards jump so. Especially since I lost ranking. this is opposite of what I thought would have happened.

In reviewing the 30 Day chart, it shows my Author Rewards were 74.89 HP ($22.38) with Curation Rewards of 14.72 HP ($4.40) as compared to 71.54 HP ($24.95) with Curation Rewards of 14.44 HP ($5.04) last week's 30 day amounts. This is a slight increase from last week's prior 30 day stats.

I am receiving 0.75 HBD interest for the past 30 days. My goal is to reach 1 HBD per month so I amount about 3/4 of the way there. Adding the 1 HBD to savings each week is helping increase the interest on a weekly basis.

Curation APR

I did not change anything this past week that I realize in my curation activity but my Curation APR jumped to 7.06% from 5.95% last week. I am very glad this occurred however if I do not understand how or why this happened, there is no way to repeat it or prevent it from falling back down again. I want to get my curation APR back up to the range that I target (8%-10%) without impacting my voting on replies and comments.

Hive Engine Tokens

I am receiving 6.57 Hive ($1.97) compared to 6 Hive ($2.09) last week over the past 7 days in Hive Engine Tokens from content creation and curation. Over the past 30 days, I have received 26.12 Hive ($7.81) compared to 27.73 Hive ($9.67) for both author and curation rewards last week for the past 30 days.

My top Hive Engine Token holdings over $10 in value are AlIVE, CTP, INDEX, LEO, ALIVEM, POB, BRO and WAIV. This is the first week in a while that WAIV balance has exceeded $10 in my holdings. My other holdings are closer to $5 or much below. I would like all of my holdings to at least exceed $10 per holding but you know $100 per holding would be much, much better. LOL
