Evening Time Clouds
This evening the clouds in the sky looked truely beautiful and unique so I decided to take a few photos and share with everyone.
The clouds were in the east opposite of the setting sun so received some of the direct light which caused shadows within the various folds of the clouds. The winds at the different altitudes must be blowing at different speeds to caus the top ones to be so pulled looking smooth while the ones below appear to be more bulky and fat looking.
I turned around to see what was happening with the sunset. It appeared very pretty so i walked about 100 feet to the top of my driveway to get this shoot.
Less than a minute between these two photos and i still don’t understand how one can have do much color in it and the first appear to be just white and dark shades.
Then i walk back in the house and wonder if the east and west shots are so different how would the south or southwest sky appear?
It is close to the photo of the west. You can see the colors from the sun setting but with a gap between the lower and upper clouds. If you look close enough you will see a sliver of the moon in the sky between the two lower and upper cloud banks.
This is one of the reasons i love living in central texas. The sky is always changing with different views in all directions.
