Waiting for the Doctor

In the clinic, I rescheduled this appointment because it was the same day as my dentist appointment, but when I arrived today at 11:35 I was informed my appointment was for 11:10am, and I am late.

She said they can still get me in, but now I will have to wait. Sitting next to this plastic encased plant, still alive yet is it breathing? Is it dead or is this just how it is?

I have a phone call from another specialist at 12:30pm, hopefully these appointments don't conflict like the dentist did last week. There never seems to be enough time in a week to get everything done, but using a list and keeping calendar appointments, we can try.

Waiting is not so unpleasant, listening to the calm jazz music playing from the ceiling, under the crashing of ladders from construction on the other side of the building, the receptionists speaking, and the phones of other people waiting for their appointments. It is 11:44am, this could take a while.
