My writing skills
Happy new year my co hivers in the Ghana community. It’s a new year and I hope we all meet our hive goals this year. The world does revolve and there is always change which seems to be the only constant thing In humans life.
In the past, the world generally encouraged going to get an education in school and using whatever certification you get to work. It was the norm at that time and it works very well. The society was just becoming industrious and there were a lot of jobs out there for people, all you have to do is to be educated and you will get a job for sustainability.
A lot of people who made this choice were able to earn good but passive income to build themselves and their family. This went on and on until changes occurred again.
In the last 5 years, there has been a rising voice which is asking everyone, especially the young demographic, to learn a skill. The tech skills seem to be the trend and the popular one to learn. This is because the number of people getting education from all over the world is more than jobs that can be given considering the fact that computers and machines now do a lot of jobs that were first allocated to humans.
The latest intervention of AI has further brought doom to the workforce of humans. Artificial intelligence has brought a diminishing use of humans in the workplace. It's fast, reliable and easier to operate than humans, so why not?
In 2020 during the Covid lockdown, I developed the passion for books and found reading as my hobby. It’s something I don’t get tired of. I read a wild range of books, gained a lot of knowledge at that time and So I realised I needed to share what knowledge I gained.
I developed the skills of writing. As at when I started, my writing skills were rough but I kept on writing. The more you do, the better you get.
Writing to me is how I got my thoughts gathered. It makes me feel like I’m achieving something greater than self when I sew together long thread of words hoping to plant a seed of knowledge inside the mind of the reader. I started my journey by writing morning pages as explained by Julia Camereon in her book “The complete artist way”. Then I moved to writing journals. It helps my creativity a lot and doesn’t make me feel lonely.
I’ve never thought of teaching writing before but I won’t mind teaching that skills. It helps mentally and psychologically for anyone who writes a lot. Many would think writers are only the ones who gets published but that’s not a fact. A writer doesn’t have to get published to be called one.

Writing is always therapeutic and what makes it interesting is the tiny voice in your head that reads as you write.
You know sometimes I read what I wrote and it feels heavenly.
You are right. Quite many call themselves writer and have never published anything.
Ah yes bro. You caught me in the end, this society only accepts those writers who get a good reputation.
But sometimes one writes for their own therapy and relaxation. When you read what you have written brings you an eternal peace
I love writing. It's a skill with lots of prestige!!!
