Why do people die? (Part 1) | The Old Path | MCGI

It is commonly said that "death is inevitable", but then, why do people live and at the end they die? Sometimes it is better they didn't exist than to be alive and end up hurting people especially when they die unexpectedly. In this study, Bro Eli reflected on the question - "...if there's a God why do people die?" He added that some die young while others die later in life; however, the book of First Timothy chapter 6 verse 16 made us understand that we have only one being that exists has immortality and that is God almighty.

who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.

As it is seen in the above scripture, this immortal being is the same person whom Jesus taught His disciples to pray to -

... our father which art in heaven Hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:9-10

Just as the Lord Jesus Christ introduced his father to his disciples in that manner, Paul similarly wrote to Timothy saying that only the father has immortality whose light no man can approach.

So, to know the reason why do people die regardless of the age or the condition can be seen in the book of Hebrews - "...and as it is appointed unto men wants to die but after this the Judgment."

This means that we are appointed by God to die, that is something inevitable (you cannot escape), thereafter judgement. This means after death, something important is happening - "Judgement." As we face death inevitably, we inevitably also will face the judgement seat of God come the day of judgment.
