True Colours

Hello Everyone
Happy Sunday.
It's been quite a busy week but I'm here to share my thoughts....

I noticed recently that most times when people upset us and make us annoyed, say hurtful things and we react they say that's our "true color" or that's how we truly are.
They forget the fact that they actually offended us first and most times our reaction came from a place to annoyance or hurt.
I feel like people shouldn't hurt someone and when the person reacts they say that's how you truly are because except you have mental issues you wouldn't react if you're not annoyed.
Most times I've been offended and tried to keep my cool but I'm human and I can't take it all the time.
Most times in all honesty I react ,other times i just walk away in silence.
I've come to the understanding that most to times our reactions depend on the intensity of the hurt or the proximity of the person who hurt it, trust me it's sadder when it's someone who is close to you that hurts you.

Your reaction to hurt is not your true colour, it's just a reaction, you did no wrong letting someone know how they made you feel.
I'd advise though that when we're hurt , avoidance at the first instance is necessary so you can evaluate things and decide if you want to talk about it or not.
Most times when I'm offended I just walk away quietly so I don't say something offensive or hurtful too . I've lost my cool at times but it doesn't mean I'm a bad person,it just shows that I'm human too.
Please let us learn not to say that someone showed their true colours when we know in our hearts that they reacted because we offended them.
I wish us a bright week.
