Sustainable Fashion and Mindfulness:LOH #226

It's been a while since I came here and it feels so good to be back to connect with my fellow ladies through relatable topics.
How have y'all been.
So my entry will be answering the both questions for the week because I absolutely have my experience with both.
I'll start with sustainable Fashion.
First of what is fashion?
Fashion means different things to different people.
To me fashion is simply your personality incorporated into style, it's a way of life mostly pertaining to dressing.
Fashion implies that you do you in ways that aren't expected.
Sustainability on the other hand doing your thing without necessarily having to break the bank,it involves managing what you've got efficiently and effectively and still maintaining style.
Sustainable Fashion is simply when you're still stylish without spending too much.
I'm a keen lover of fashion, style and clothes and one of the ways to ensure sustainable Fashion is first of all understanding your personality .
Each of us have different personalities and trust me the clothes you wear have a way of defining you.
It's not just about wearing, it's about your clothes fitting not just into your body size but your personality.
Wear clothes that accentuate who you are , don't copy somebody's else's style.
Improve on yours.
Another way to ensure sustainable Fashion is by doing thrift wears.
This has worked for me.
Many times we want to rock the boutique but there are really nice thrift wears that you could take for lesser prices and still look like a million bucks.
Another way is by styling, don't just wear your clothes, style them , there are stylish stuff you could have in your wardrobe like belts, pop socks (if they look good on you), jackets, etc...
You could turn a simple dress into a dazzler with just a few accessories. Red, black and white clothes can go with most colours, understand how colours work and play around with them.
With these few points,you can still dress stylish and moderate without going over your budget.
Over to Mindfulness
As a woman,we are built to multitask, this doesn't mean that it can't get hectic, some days you're done for the day and you don't even understand the back ache you're feeling.
It is important to be mindful even as you go about the day.
Mindfulness is a state of paying attention to every moment.
As we grow older we realize that there are somethings we can't change.
Each and every day we get to plan and most times many things we plan do not play out.
This is where mindfulness comes to play
You have to understand that it's not going to be rosy everyday, don't try to force things we might not be able to change certain things but our reaction will definitely help us, it's not time to panic and feel inadequate but re-strategize .
Mindfulness decreases stress and anxiety , increases concentration and helps one to be calm.
For me , when things don't go as planned, i meditate on the word of God (the Bible) , i breathe in and out, hymns are therapeutic too and many of a time, evening walks. I come back and re-strategize , learning to live life one day at a time
