Does God want all things, including evil, to happen? (Part 1 of 2) | The Old Path | MCGI

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17

If we truly believe this scripture, why then do we believe that everything that happens is God's will? Just as Bro Eli affirmed, not everything that happens is God's will; in this present world, there are things that happen which is contrary to the will of God. In the teaching, Bro Eli gave an example - the word of God says "thou shall not commit adultery"; meanwhile we have adulterous persons in our time. It is not God's will that people disobey Him, but people disobey because they are given a free will to decide which path to follow.

Another thing we need to take note in this lesson - we must understand the system that happens in our times, we are gifted by God as human beings. Just like Angels, we are given own free will by God to obey him and love him and worship Him. Most importantly, what pleases God the most is obeying His commandments and worshiping Him without being force but dictated by your faith in your heart and not by guns.

Unlike some countries that practice religion at gunpoint, God has given mankind to serve Him at his Will and this make Him more pleased when we submit. Imagine being surrounded by temptations and evil ones, yet with your free will you still obey God. Definitely, God will not force us; He will be proud to entrust us with His plans for the earth.

To conclude that God has truly given us a free will, Joshua says -

I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;
-- Deuteronomy 30:19

Despite the choice we have, God is still concern about us choosing life, that we may be blessed, that we may live a life of happiness and peace.
