A Walk Home ....

It's been a while.
So pleased to drop my thoughts and opinions here....

So guys I had a really long day yesterday as I went to apply for an internship at a TV station in relation to my course of study, Communication and Media Studies. On my way home i decided to take a walk for a while just to cut costs on transportation.
While I walked,i got into a street where a few boys were playing football, most of them didn't have clothes on and the ones who did looked really dirty but they didn't even care,they were lost in the happiness of their street football game and it was a beautiful sight for me.
A few moments before I crossed to another street I heard a car horn blare continuously,i turned back and noticed it was coming in the direction of the boys,they hurriedly scurried away to the side of the road to let the car pass by ,it was a black,sleek Toyota Camry...,the car passed by and I noticed something that caught my attention.

There was a boy in the car,he sat at the front seat and he wore a school uniform,he looked really healthy and had a nice haircut,as his mother drove by he kept staring outside with smiles and pointing at the boys, i noticed that he even stuck his head out of the window and it hit me,the boy probably wished he could join the boys outside to play the football,he was so lost in looking that his mother had to tap him to put his head back inside and sit.

It then occurred to me that life isn't balanced at all this was a boy most definitely from a rich home , he went to a good school, was probably driven to and fro in the car everyday, let's not forget he's got his lunch box handy for recess or break time like we call it here in Nigeria.
He had all these yet he was lost in the simple game of football played by street boys...
I'm pretty sure the boys also wished they could afford the luxury he had but life ,life isn't the same for everyone

As I reflected on this,i realized that most times,no matter the environment we're born into,we have a choice to do better and be better, life might not favor one today but depending on the decisions you make and take, it could favor you tomorrow.
I learnt a deep lesson yesterday, i reminisced on my childhood and whispered a prayer of Thanksgiving to God for bringing me this far ,i thanked him for the little things of life and the big things, I also asked Him for help with my Life choices.
