You can't please everyone
First and foremost, let these few lines of words sink into you from a positive perspective or you will end up misconfiguring many things. Afterall, are we not talking of humans; always looking for ways to make excuses for many things.
Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you, for that is how their ancestors treated the false prophets —Luke 6:26 NIV.
These are words from the very mouth of Our Lord Jesus and you can imagine the impact it carries. Any man that is appreciated by everyone is doomed, he is a hypocrite. No matter how good or how righteous you are, some sets will underestimate and dislike you. They can't just speak well of you because you’ve entirely beaten their imagination.
Let's turn our attention to The Prophet Daniel, a man that King Nebuchadnezzar and other two kings succeeding him well respected. Even the Angel of the Lord commended him to be a man with an excellent spirit. So did ALL conform to that idea?

Maybe we should even start from what he did first to those who were after his very life so we can imagine from there. It was this same Daniel that spared the lives of all wise men, sorcerers and enchanters in the province of Babylon under the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar when he was furious and found them not worthy when they could not both tell and interpret his dream.
He should be a man held in high esteem you would imagine. In short, a trap was set for him because he was upright and excellent in his administrative dealings and daily life. The good news behind it is that God delivered him.
I was just bringing that in as a sensible scenario because most of the time we feel so over worried why people or some to be more precise seem not to see how you are trying to create some positive impact. It most times reflects in the area of leadership. To be sincere with myself, it is something I sometimes grumble at, the bad governance but what I fail to understand is the pressure out there. He should do this or that by now, why is he even there?

Do I even care to know if he has made many attempts and submitted many proposals to no avail?. Have you ever been given a responsibility to handle and it seems the crowd don't care about the rules or commands your superior said you should work with.
Worse of all, consider them thinking you should bend the rules right in front of your very superior. Two different sets of eyes are watching; the first are those that set these rules most times due to how people have exploited such positions and the second are the determining and some set of ignorant ones who keep saying what is there is him just doing it. Ok, someone standing from a distance will say, I never expected this person would be this unconcerned or harsh as they may have assumed. Who will listen to your explanation? They are just outlookers who will summarize and move on.
To conclude, let me add, quote me well because I am not saying you should grow heartless and inhuman in your daily dealings. Be determined to be good: this is quick advice. What I mean here is that being good should be a personal decision rather than trying to get the crowd's applause. Those that see your values will draw near and those that will despise you will also set their anti-team.
Spare yourself some worries, you are dealing with humans; there is always something they will find to criticize; just focus on being good and pray God helps you to fulfill this to as many that comes your way. Maybe a good starting point ahead of 2026.
