You can't just escape centralized inconveniences

Before getting there, maybe I would have just tagged this article; ‘just do something’. I will be merging two experiences within the week. I once wrote an article covering how you can't run out of daily articles if you are living a life worth listening to.

The Journey of a thousand miles starts with that first very important step. The month of September has been that activity packed month. I was expecting that anyway and I will be doing a summary of some today.

Friday and Saturday added up with some extra stretching for me and at least I was just expecting a little relaxation time on Sunday afternoon or late evening ahead of Monday. So I thought until a call came in; this 24/7 business model and mindset comes at such cost.

It was one urgent needed service and I had to fire in. How do you do when you customer just made an instant before delivery full payments.

This particular work was facing me. It wouldn't have been a big deal to work on it the Next day but our machine got faulty, I will have to use the old ways.

Manually getting things done is very stressful, I have to depend on the behavior of the weather to attend the on time delivery and the earlier I make moves, the better. The weather ended up favorable and a huge part of the drying process was achieved.

The happy part is that I was able to meet up and after ALL was done, I had to reflect on that moment I just decided to make that move rather than procrastinate. A quick one, nothing is done until something is done’.

Heading to the second part of this article, it has been one of those inconveniencing moments with the centralized exchange platforms. In short, it's three in a row.

I won't be mentioning names but it is one of such things that keeps a space in the minds of online users about decentralized platforms. Do you get bored when these people ask you for documents just to verify a little fault maybe on their side to even consider. I wasn't receiving the SMS verification code to log in.

I haven't used that account for a while, does that mean I got deactivated or what? If so, then it shows the flaws centering centralized exchange.

How long can you leave your DEX account and get back. For as long as you wish, just keep your secret code/mnemonics safe; this is true decentralization.

I later contacted support center after this persisted for two days. What did I get? Suggestions that our regional network flow may be poor, wait and TRY again later.

Didn't I say it's been two days of constant tries already? Today is day 3, still the same story. The other suggestion I was given was to accept my SMS verification to be removed. I was glad, an easy one I guessed.

I was wrong, the moment I replied they should go ahead, a message was later sent to me. For this process to proceed, please provide username, ID, email, selfie, last transaction, KYC this and that and so on.

Ok, someone out there may say, wow! The security is really tight. Spare me, all these to me are just hassles that inconvenience a customer. What if I was in urgent need of any asset in that wallet?

It was one of those funny self-explaining animated pictures I saw. When a user was asked by a computer system to prove he is not a robot, he decided to undress before the camera.

If that will satisfy the system enough. It has been up to a year I used this particular wallet, so how do I go about with last transaction and the asset that was transacted?

With all my identities, why still stress with all these procedures. The best solution to end this platform stress in a few minutes is to just introduce a thumb printing module. Why should a customer be passing through unnecessary stress to access accounts and funds too.

To conclude, let me add, the entire process is both boring and tiring already. I don't know how long this will take but it is bringing some form of discouragement. Maybe this is why I just embraced web3’s pattern of operation from the first day of getting into the ecosystem. We are just managing web2, it is really an inconveniencing environment.
