You build by evolving

That old uncomfortable saying; ‘we learn after a long pile up of mistakes. It stands true on many occasions and inasmuch as we do not like making these mistakes, ignorance gives us a bad pie. I have learned so many things over the year as I continue to evolve into a professional entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship aside, I can also talk of personal growth when even venturing into my faith walk with God. There is a lot I can say concerning this but it will be difficult for us to digest.

Ok, let me just base it on business and entrepreneurship. There has been a lot of retracing over the years. Let me not really go back there; those days of affirming success on paper and neglecting field results. Poor visibility studies, inexperience, no contending capacity and business influence. These are just a few I can talk of; my eyes were on the money I just wrote down from a paper analysis. Ok, I lost it ALL and in exchange, I learned the lesson.

What have been our newly realized flaws? Mode and pattern of operation for a long time NOW. Before even getting there, we haven't really not been that interested in popularizing and advertising. It is something I am planning to call in marketers who can leverage for their compensation. We have to go big, a brand is not hidden.

Our vision no matter how clear or blur it has been has some misunderstandings in-between. Personally, I wanted this brand to be a stand alone. I haven't lost vision anyway, the idea of securing those contract jobs is good business. I love bulk production and services. **Nevertheless, this vision needs capital, workforce and experience too. Putting all this into consideration, one will pave the way for the other. Capital means enough incoming cash flow, workforce means more hands in the daily businessing and experience means I will need more time to learn new things.

One of my early misunderstandings was the idea of bringing in an apprentice(s). It has been something that I have ignored for a while. In short, I got such offers last year but I turned them down. I felt we were not ready to face that distraction; an apprentice will take much of my time I thought. But on the reverse, a better look shows that they even give me more time. This company needs to grow and growth is through evolving. One needs to leverage the things readily available to get to his destination.

In short, it is like bringing in an unpaid worker for a year or a year plus in the name of training. Adding to that, the company gets paid a reasonable sum in the process which we can reinvest into buying more equipment. The cost of machines has even gone high and if we had thought of this earlier enough, we would have gotten more for less. Even if I assumed there was little to no time on my side, getting a supervisor would have still been to our favor.

To conclude, let me add, our current contract with our supervisor is what marvelled me, I mean, how come I never got such a mutual benefits idea for long. Wisdom is indeed Power and more for sure concerning this will soon unravel. As an entrepreneur, you must learn how to crack codes and get things done.
