Which is faker?

We have entered the era of 'keep spitting it out'. Indeed this calls for an alarm, the easy flow of information is in the middle very skeptical. How true can a news be? To most, it depends on the source. Are we NOW saying that old information systems; newspapers and TV broadcasting channels and radio were by far better? At least corporations will be the ones sending out the news. Hmmm, it can be dicey too. Of course you know they are always flaws? What is well cooked is delicious.

Before delving deeper into comparisons, let's TRY and look at some analysis. How large is the social media industry currently? It is a question that can cause a chuckling because it expands on the increase. When you see investors and advertisers channel money into a system, you should know that something is up. Same goes with artificial intelligence, cryptocurrencies and energy.

In yesterday's article, I talked about how it has brought down the traditional media. Individualized journalism has taken center stage. Of course this has come at a cost too; job disruption is one of those. This is what technology will always do, rip open the old for a new host to feed.

Talking of figures, we are looking at 64% of the world population here. This amounts to nothing less than 5.3 billion people according to feasible statistics ( from here, it shows this far exceeds this number). Let's be using it for the sake of popular analytics. How about financial figures too? Big companies like Mets alone are settling for annual returns not less than $130 billion. Let's just forget the argument of who and who keeps this huge money inflow for today. Globally, the figures amount to $900 billion, something that can be argued to be considerably small.

Heading back to the population numbers, we can say that at least six in every ten persons is a journalist; known or unknown to him. Wow! Indeed a threat to traditional systems. Looking beyond that, there are advantages; easy information dissemination, easy access low cost, on time reports and so on. Nevertheless, the pointed finger that stands tall against this new wave growth is that it causes widespread fake news since anyone can put up anything at any time for the public to read.

There is a huge point here yet I can say this is very debatable. What makes a news more likely to be fake? Individualism or corporate report? What is true or what is framed to be true. Have your trusted TV broadcasting Network once told you lies? How did you feel? Ah!! You came to realize the government and big agencies most times cook up things. "The worst form of fake is team fake"---dani-EL and this has been happening through traditional media.

I don't know for many but it is not easy for an individual to fool me with fake news. It is just that many lack the online sieving tactics. I am not saying the social media ecosystem is not toxic. Many individual reports about a thing will soon reveal the truth, this is how to go about it. Most times I even try to stay away from some news (Hahahaha, peace of mind). That aside, if what the old system feels is an accusations against the past pace move of individual journalism then such charge is to no avail.

To conclude, let me add, fake started before social media arrived. We are seeing the old formats even being curbed under and assumed widespread. My emphasis is on depth of report. Individual news can easily be spotted as fake but that doesn't always stand the same for corporate reports, so who is faker? The earlier patterns stand indeed to be more venomous to the societies.

We have even seen such influence pushing itself to dominate some social media. Some of such reports were recorded from Facebook during the covid-era where the government only wanted what they felt was appropriate to fit their sayings even when it was ALL going viral. A lot of most users' uploads were taken off the media (a discussed disadvantage of web2). Many of us know how it all ended, even Zuckerberg felt deprived. Technology has opened up many things, creating more global connections. Information is key and how fast and efficient it is delivered is also of importance.

Social media have stepped up this pace, something worth a thumbs up. However, I am not denying flaws, yet one has to admit, bad players are everywhere. Good things at bad hands turn bad, make your best of research when digesting easily accessed information while not attempting to look back at old siloed systems, their flaws were even worse.

Yet, if we were take every member of the human race and make them into one big old meatball, it would only be just over a kilometre in diameter. Makes you stop to consider how irrelevant humanity is on the scale of the universe.

I wouldn't say humans are irrelevant, they are creations of purpose. If only they will align. Thanks for contributing, enjoy your day.
