What's up with Snaps?

source

The Hive ecosystem has remained relentless in pushing this blockchain forward. You can't be bored or get out of company when you know about hive. The technology is broad I must say and it will take some time to learn. You know this is web3, we have to follow up this latest tech gradually. We saw the inception of LEO Threads from the InLeo frontend and I can say it has been fun from day one. You should do well to check it out. Those short form contents of yours are NOW getting both value and attention. I never even knew PeakD was up to something until two days ago when I started reading related article about Snaps.

So what's Snaps? Oh yes, if you are a threader maybe on X or probably inleo you will easily grab. Snaps is a platform created by PeakD frontend to incorporate short form content into their frontend. It's the latest and very encouraging also. I just put out one Snaps and conversed with some before writing this article just to be sure it is actually working and also very efficient. I must say, it is opening new doors for hive and web3 in general. It is not everyone that is good at writing or consuming long form contents. You can say at some point it gets boring even if you love doing it. I personally see Leo threads as a relief center and it has been working; Snaps will be no difference.

Already, I have seen the user turnover to drop those pictures, videos and short comments that has been under their box for a while. Let's keep pouring them in, I see it as a way to also salvage data for web3. From my views, it's these short form contents that will attract users more in the long run. Think about it, how many minutes do users love to spend on a single article or post. Not everyone is like you who loves reading and learning to consume perhaps financial knowledge; others love whiling away some time and it could also help in expressing emotions and ideas in the shortest of ways.

Snaps, LeoThreads, Ecency waves, Liketu Moments

As I said, I never knew PeakD developers were working on something this huge. Do you know you can stay in their frontend and access ALL other short contents from the above mentioned frontends? It is really a smart move if you are someone that loves appreciating great inception. Putting every competition aside, I must say they have done a very wonderful job here. In a broader view, we are looking at how users can flock into Hive first before getting into further segmentations. I feel other frontends should also incorporate this so they have in-house users who can move from frontend to frontend without leaving their platform. What say you?

Meeting new people

I don't know for you but I love meeting up with new people (like minded to be more precise). This is where idea sparks and opportunities are created. "Humans are opportunities no matter the records you hold against them"---dani-asi. Connecting yourself is one way to bring your dreams to manifestation. It's difficult to curate long form contents as much as you would want when looking at time constraints but the reverse is the case with this short form environment. I have been using LeoThreads and I can say I have met new life changing friends. Hive is a very wide ecosystem and one way to get us closer to each other the more will be through this adoption.

The Internet is making the world a hub for easy closeness and relationship creation. The future for web3 is bigger than what we are seeing for now. Only few are understanding this, some say it's slow; of course you know you can't just bulldoze the old time players out without a fight. It will take patience, quality feature inception coupled with web3 rewards system. Whether web2 gets kicked out in the next decade or never, web3 will create a sustainable userabase for itself soon.

Is this a threat to inleo threads?

This is a total NO. I don't know how others see it but my view here is like comparing X with Facebook. Both are doing good business and keeping users entertained. Both are web2 you know and here is where web3 needs to learn. If only Hive as a web3 ecosystem will be an early leader in the web3 user catchup movements we will all go home encouraged. Snaps, LeoThreads, Ecency waves, Liketu moments or any new inception that comes up will be welcomed on hive. We should be looking at the big picture, there is nothing wrong in any in-house competition if it makes Hive stronger then let's give it the needed room.

To conclude, let me add, we are seeing development upon development in the Hive platform. Every frontend is on the verge of becoming better or perhaps the best. As long as we stick to web3 patterns I guess the inceptions are welcomed. Did I tell you about Leo subscriptions? Maybe an article for another day. Till then, let's keep building as a community as we await the needed global transformation.

Do they have a mobile app? If they do, it will be a game changer.
