Wake up - Work - Sleep

How many are familiar with this routine? All of us I guess. Firstly, there is no food for a lazy man. Secondly, come on why are you here if not for a purpose. We will take time to emphasize the word 'purpose' in this article. It's a new week and Monday is a general work week commencement day. Before any further ado, how was your last week? Were you able to meet up with your daily work routine? Personally, it wasn't easy but I pushed myself to do the best I could offer and I am very happy about that. I just hope such inconveniences of last week does not show up again. If you read my articles; switching gears that I wrote last week, you will get more insights. Anyway, we learn and grow stronger.

Some of us wake up earlier than early, I have heard several reports like that from my friends who have been to Lagos for example. The city is so jamb packed with human activities that you will have to find your way to your business premises early enough or you may never get there. Imagine having to wake up by 3:AM to prepare for a work you should commence by 8:AM. There is so much traffic delays over there that people spend hours in their cars or buses daily. Sometimes I imagine if I would be able to cope with that. Anytime I get stopped in the traffic I always feel so uncomfortable, I mean something of 1 to 3 minutes at most or worse 5 minutes. Maybe that's why I am avoiding life over there. Hahaha, perhaps time trains, I will probably have coped overtime.

Imagine also after finishing work, you will have to wait in the traffic queue for hours again. You are tired and weak yet what can you do? Many say they reach the house very late and all they'll do is sleep a couple of hours and wake up early again to meet up at work. It is looking very stressful right? Indeed it is. Why do we work? The layman summary will be for the belly. We have personal and family needs to meet up with which is tied down to transactions. Go out there, get the money and solve your problem. Does this problem ever seem to end? How many hours do you spend working daily? The standard seems to be 6 to 8 hours. This is just standard, it doesn't mean it will cover your bills and this is where the overworking and overstressing always arises.

On the other hand, many are lucky to work fewer hours with more time to spare daily. I am running a personal business and at my infant stage I need to spend much time getting things done. I don't have too many hands when it comes to the workforce, I guess you know what it means, stepping in to fill voids is very necessary. Nevertheless, I have been training and calculating myself on how to work for 8 hrs at most. Sleeping well needs to be prioritized or you are likely to break down. The doctor will tell you things that will dampen your spirit when you are rushed into the hospital because of such an emergency. Does this mean I sleep for the remaining 16 hours? This is where this article gets even more interesting. Is there nothing else in life apart from work? And if work actually, is there no other form of work aside from that that concerns being paid to put food on our table?

Realizing Purpose

Many of us are yet to realize our purpose. Life from my views is beyond waking up, working for money and sleeping late or early. Have you ever asked yourself, why am I here and how can I add to where I am rather than just keep taking. Some of us are more opportuned than others yet we most times fail to leverage this advantage. Have you sat down to imagine what bothers others and how you could be of help? I know that saying, 'mind your business'. What is actually your business? Wake up - Work - Sleep? Oh no, this is not the entirety of your business. You have deprived your work by focusing only on finances. Just as earlier said, do I spend 16 hrs sleeping? No, there are many activities with sleep inclusive. In short, most times I find myself sleeping even late yet I feel satisfied because I have achieved a purpose.

If humans could realize their purpose we will be living in a less burdensome world. Nobody or should I say only few care about others welfare, this is part of our work and no matter how we try to be ignorant about it, this void will always remain. Maybe you feel it's all about giving out money to others, no. Drafting time for humanitarian activity is vital. How does the life you live affect the environment you live, this also is work. This is what I try to spend my remaining 16 hrs to resolve when subtracting sleep time. We are all here to solve a problem and this is not just your personal problems.

To conclude, let me add, from the beginning, humans are independent beings, sharing ideas, knowledge, experiences and rendering the little help you have goes a long way. When you are also down, such a circle is supposed to continue for your benefit, trust me it will make things much easier. Humans are suffering from disunity syndrome, that is why we over work ourselves daily with little to show for. There is a need to strike the needed balance, rearranging our daily routine to fit our purpose (affection for humanity and the gifts of nature). If all we are here for is 'Wakeup - Work -Sleep', then it means we are not from a source.
