Trump withdraws health aid

There has been a lot of reshaping since the new government hit the United states. Donald Trump is turning many tables and whether it be good or bad, there are likely to be victims. A few of it is US involvement on cryptocurrency (bitcoin to be more precise; it is to be added to the US treasury).

Of course we know what this presents to investors. Let's keep it as a broader topic for another day. Another to add has been the deportation of illegal US citizens; without your complete papers, find your way out of the US.

One of the groundbreaking reports has been how the new President has withdrawn support to WHO (World Health Organization). There has been lots of talking centering this with many African countries in health panic. Mr Trump feels this has only been a channel to drain the Us economy with big budgets. He has some point there anyway, people are always looking for means to escalate budgets and take more than expected, afterall, it's the government

Another thing I would like to consider is the fact that many African countries rely on overdependence on foreign aid. This to me is not very encouraging, there is a need for a rethink and I feel such days have suddenly come upon us. Where are the resources we have here? Where have there been channeled to? Years after years and decades after decades, it only seems we are growing more dependent. Let me focus on my own country. I always ask, can't the Nigerian government take good care of its citizens? Must there always be a run abroad for help. Where are we channeling our crude oil money?

Mr Trump is passing an indirect message, aside from thinking of data manipulation, he is telling the African nation especially to sit up. I don't know if they are seeing it this way but there is nothing they can do, at least in the next four years. I am waiting to see the possible adjustments to cope with the present situation. Or is it going to be an 'abandon ship' procedure. If this be so, here is where there is likely for infection escalation.

A friend wrote on status the need to be extra careful about sexually transmitted infectious (STI's). This current situation calls for the needed attention. Whether the money sent in by USAID has always been properly used or not, even if it was a few percent thrown in, it has always salvaged some situations. Here is where the citizens are afraid, with the withdrawal of US funding, there is likely that the government may not be willing to take this responsibility on their shoulders and the damage is going to be much.

Will this add to a high death rate? What will the health condition of Africa look like in the next one year? I don't know for other African countries but it seems USAID had really been the full sponsor of external health help to Nigerians. The news concerning HIV/AIDS has been in the shadows, can it resurface in the absence of global intervention? Citizens will have to be extra careful, there is a need to stick to partners in order to avoid health related circumstances.

How about the issue of malaria and other health concerns that have been troubling the local areas of the African soil. Coming back again to Nigeria, malaria has been attributed to infancy death in the local areas. Maybe there should have been an earlier warning before the withdrawal, or waa there?. In my own views, I wouldn't really be blaming the new action taken by the government. It's just that the poor masses are the ones to feel the heat. As an industry folds up it is becoming very life threatening.

Without any proper attention from here we will be seeing the health number issues going up. My advice is a proper application of knowledge. Not everyone is that sensitized as we speak and many volunteers will be withdrawn from the field of work causing the current illiteracy status to kick back. You will need to agree with me that health is at stake. I am not here to point figures but I must say, our government is likely to do little to nothing concerning this matter.

To conclude, let me add, the new US regime is not here to do the usual business. President Trump wants to trim off the excesses. Without doubt, there is a lot of pressure on him as he had to try and salvage the current US economy. Just as earlier said, every decision always seems to have a bad side. The issue of Africa and health will be on a look out. Underdeveloped and over dependent countries on foreign aids will suffer at least the next four of Trump's global health decisions.
