Still working on Worker's Day
Ok, so that was yesterday. May first is regarded as international workers day. It's a free day
for ALL workers or maybe I should put it very well, for all government workers. Many were still here on Hive doing what they know how to do best. Feed LEO AI, post a thread, write an article, comment, curate, stack some Hive especially when yesterday was Hive ⇪ Day×. Are we outlaws in this small ecosystem? Maybe we are the ones doing the government and economy a favor by not being an added burden to their payroll.
I might not have been able to meet up with writing an article yesterday, it was indeed one busy day because of an unexpected delay (I will be getting to this later). I wasn't very happy about that anyway, at least, I was able to read and curate some posts and make Threads too. It is always something, I learned that from a friend on this chain. Anytime you are out of writing vibes just do well to read and curate as many articles as you can. Post some threads too, you don't have any daily limit, it is called showing up. I have on many occasions gotten an article idea through reading. Anyway just as I said, yesterday was not about being out of words but rather a delay.

So you don't need to ask how my workers day was, yes I was working. I had to be in the office as timely as possible. How do you sleep conveniently when someone's wedding dress is part of your delivery and your workforce is little? You should get it, I had to be up and running. There was work in the three departments of our business. Managing a growing brand means I will have to sacrifice a lot. Of course we are a private body, if you don't get your work out, no payment for you. Government won't pay my bills, I choose to be an entrepreneur rather than the 8:AM to 5:PM government jobs.
Don't mistaken yourself too much, this market is very overcrowded with unemployment everywhere. Many workers are complaining of poor pay so you can see my hedge as an entrepreneur, I don't have a fixed earning, it is all about the inflow of work and the energy to push it out on time. Speaking of such, I had some delays yesterday making my worker's day even more hectic. I had to spend extra hours in the middle of clients and my customer.
So where did it all start? My affiliate failed to deliver. Does my customer care about the affiliate English or whatever? Of course not, we are meant to deliver. As I always say, our brand is in its growing phase. We are not able to get all the needed machines and equipment at least for NOW. I know I covered an article once about us striking a deal with a much bigger company who are in the same line of business. We use some of their big machines to deliver monogramming services. I had such order on Tuesday evening and I had to alert them about the service and how urgent it was. I got a green light feedback.

I reached out to them on Wednesday and showed all I wanted done. Anyway, on getting there I did hear some inconvenient call their assistant was making to their manager concerning a fault on one of their machines. Maybe this was where I got hit, that machine was actually their monogramming machine. She told me everything will be just fine and before evening I should come back. It never worked out as expected and when I saw the time hitting 7:PM and I was yet to get a design I was to paste and deliver before 11:AM the Next day I was smelling trouble.
What bothered me most was the condition of that job, their assistant told me over the phone that part of it has been done and what is left will be completed as early as possible. She was just trying to calm me down, nothing was done and I was already suspecting that even before I went to bed. I knew it was going to be one Marathon Thursday, something I was not planning for.
Indeed it was, I had to abandon some work in my office for my partner and head to our affiliate office to get this resolved. I had my hours wasted in their office while a lot is pending for me in mine. A call came in and who should you expect if not a client that was coming for that monogramming design. I had to plead for an extra hour which was still to no avail. The professional monogrammed was not in that day adding to the fact that the machine was faulty on the earlier day. Difficulty in setting and adjusting was one and job prioritizing was another.
To conclude, let me add, it was really one stressful and inconveniencing workers day for me. I delivered that service late and I wasn't happy about that. How will the customer be feeling ? It makes it look as if we are unprofessional. This is one reason I keep on pushing for much independence. If we had that machine, such an issue wouldn't have surfaced I guess. It is expensive for us to purchase at the moment. We will get there.
To all workers out there, I say happy worker's day to you all. Whether public or a private worker, you efforts are well appreciated, you are indeed in one way or the other adding to economic growth.
