It takes first Time

Maybe I should have tagged this article, 'the mystery of first time
'. sounds more interesting to go through I guess. Can you remember the first time you ate on your own? You can't remember, you never took note of it or maybe I should say, no one took note of it for you. How about the first time you cling to your Mom's milk. Oh! This particular one you don't even know how you did it. Instinct drove you to suck and there you go.

This article is making me remember some of my early days first time experiences. One was when I decided to warm my meal with a rubber plate. What happened? I lost both the meal and plate, hahahaha. Funny NOW but it was a painful experience on that fateful day. I just watched everything melt away and my lesson was, rubber melts when exposed to fire. Ok, so now can I get my meal back? It was part of everything.

On another note was the very first time I climbed a storey building. I lost my way when trying to come down. On getting back to the staircase, it seemed entirely different. It was as if I was going down into the underground, hahahaha. Fear got me and my siblings were calling out on me outside without knowing what was actually going on. I left the staircase to look for where I actually came up from. Oh Dani! It was that staircase, after turning for a while, I think it was one of my brothers that actually climbed up and I saw him use where I was doubting. Knowledge was transferred.

Let me just halt there so you don't laugh out your ribs, let it not be said Dani caused a cardiovascular attack. Coming back to the world of business, I can recall some first time experiences. One was when I wanted to launch our first shop. It wasn't easy, fear was sponsoring procrastination until I one had to just walk into the shop, open it and stayed there till I closed, that was ALL. From the very day I opened it, I now knew I had a responsibility. I gained momentum and built myself up on a daily basis to better our outcomes.

Fast forwarding, we've gone a long way by now and by the grace of God we have been able to incorporate new sections into our business. This is where the entire article stemmed from, we had a fist time service to deliver and I was running up and down to see it through last week. If you've been following some of my articles you should know we are also affiliating with a bigger brand to get more opportunities. One of such is the monogramming industry. We are yet to purchase those big machines which are worth some millions (we are getting there).

Getting the order in was one thing, getting it out was another. My affiliates are experts at such delivery, I am not. I had to put out a call and I was rest assured. To be very frank, I was still doubtful of us meeting up since I had little to no experience and relying solely on my affiliate's expertise. Of course, the first time always takes time and this was not an exception. From my end, I had poor service description, I have never done it before you know. We worked together to put the design in order of I got the first part of it.

The second part of the design took longer than I expected and it led to service rendering delays. I was a little nervous anyway, my affiliate assistant told me to calm myself down that there will be times I will have to handle much larger orders than this. A very encouraging one indeed, someone is seeing a good vision for my brand. A wasn't able to be that calm anyway, I failed to deliver on the appointed time and the customer was on my neck calling and calling.

To conclude, let me add, we grow from experiences, I have learned a lot in the process. As the manager of our brand I need more insight and exposure as to how things are done. We need to leverage every opportunity in order to push in more deals and stay atop of the transaction curve. After last week's experience, I am more confident about what we can offer and also with our affiliate. Hoping for bigger deals to go through in the process, we are more than ready.
