I guess money must work: breakthrough 2024
Just sitting down to check a lot of things I underwent in 2023. It has been a good year I must say, despite our economy dwindling from the beginning of the year and even worsening during the mid-year. Business still went on, I have to derive strategies to continue pushing business further or it would only mean I am not worth calling an entrepreneur even if I'm still in the SME phase. Expanding business is always good news to every entrepreneur and I have managed to push our coast further. I must say it has come at a cost too, you may think profit has increased and yes it has, so also has expenses and worse of all my presence in business has also increased.
Watching over the entirety of business even with the presence of staff is no easy thing. It's your business and you need to follow the details to the very end. Making money is one thing, having time is another, I just don't like to be locked into a particular system. I have a flexible entrepreneur mindset when it comes to business. I have seen lots of my friends make more cash than me in their business. They work harder than I do, putting all their energy just to be sure something tangible goes to their account. There were times I used to work this way and I must say I couldn't even make enough bucks as I expected. The truth is, when all your energy is centered in one thing or one place, be it business or investment, you are at a loss.

Yep, as I said, business has expanded and will need much of my presence, yet that's what I am trying to avoid ahead of 2024. I have been making up strategies in which I could use to evade this and I have come to realize I may have to spend more.
Yes, Spend More for more time
Although I am still running an SME which the ROI on monthly bases is not big enough to opt in for more staff. It's not easy I must say, many bills are always left for me to cover. From the necessary finances to use and run day to day business to staff salary, not even talking about home bills and my personal health. The country has been very rough especially from the high price of petrol which has cut across every sector and raised the standard of living.
You know, when it comes to salary payment I have tried to be very sincere with myself. I first summarized how much I spent daily to monthly before considering to fixed staff salary. Can't just afford to pay my staff a salary not worth it, come on, I'm human, the value of our currency has depreciated and I know it. Just that this payment at the end tries to hunt company's pause but what must I do? Don't know if you think I am soft as an entrepreneur? Personally, I believe successful business first lies in staff satisfaction, trust me they can ruin your brand in your absence if they are not well treated.
Customer complaints will be flying from here and there and you'll be busy firing and hiring and you know what this already means for your business. Just imagining if our economy could even stabilize a little by next year. I guess hope is not a strategy, my friends are already telling me next year might even be tougher for our economy and I have been like 'come on', can it get worse than this. Just heard the price of petrol may increase further, trust me, that alone is enough to rough up 2024.
My idea is to bring in more staff and create more time for myself to venture into diversified opportunities. I just love it when I get money from many sources, it always raises the needed hopes when others are down. Yet it will come at the cost of spending more. How willing am I to stress the company's pause, what if new opportunities end up not paying or not paying enough. Even opportunities itself will also need enough capital. I must say one of the places I would really love to spend quality time will be online and I have hive platform as one of my favorites.
The decision; me or money
So it boils down to this one question, who really has to work hard in 2024, me or money? I guess it's money. All I need to do is improve my financial intelligence. Yes I am planning to invest into advertising to make my business more popular and also have the needed workforce to make sure we deliver in time even in my absence. If business can generate the needed capital to run itself without having to stress me, I would have the needed peace of mind. This will make my online presence more dense and I know I will make the most out of it. Just need to make sure I work with the right team to push business further. It's not going to be easy, but I have to give it a try. Yep. I will work smart and money will have to work hard, I guess this is better than the reverse. Don't know how you see it but this is how I plan to execute in 2024.
To conclude let me add, something must always be risked to get to greater heights. Our economy has not been favorable for years and has worsened this year. I guess smart working is one of the ways to get the needed time I want for myself despite how the economy may prove to be challenging. I will have to hold a meeting with money and let it know it has to convert, lols I guess who are imagining how this can be done. I will set goals for the first quarter, input money and use my intelligence to apply the needed workforce, wishing all to go well. I am a believer.
