Easter fiesta!!!

I made a 'GIF' update on leothreads concerning easter and I took notice of a bunny. Yes, you and I have been hearing about easter bunny although I have decided to be much more concerned this time around. What does it have to do with Easter? Does it relate at all? Talking of a much deeper part, how does it fit in with the Christian faith? Maybe I should just do a personal research on the internet about it. How about I first hear your own part of the story, that's why I first asked it here you know?.

That said, it is Easter Sunday. The Holy week has been full of many reflections. I always wish Christian should not just take all of it for granted. Many of us are mostly involved for the fun of it and abandon the message it gives out. Yes, today is that fateful day that the women found an empty tomb, Mark 16:1-6. Where were the men? Ah!! Maybe I should live that as a story for another day. Or just tipping a little in, they saw when he was dead and concluded when he was locked in the tomb. Did he (Our Lord Jesus) not say even ahead of his death, 'break down this temple and I will rebuild it in three days?' John 2:19-21. Men of little faith.

Let me get back to where it all started this Holy week. Of course, that triumphant entry into Jerusalem, one that left the whole city astonished that the King had entered. You should be familiar with this story. He entered saddling on a donkey with palms and fine linen being spread for him. Again, I haven't seen the bunny anywhere (I am still awaiting this explanation). Was he there to overtake Pilate and the Roman reign. On a carnal view no but from spiritual insight, he was indeed the King of Kings.

We should know humans, all knowledge was based on carnality and when the master worked otherwise many were displeased. Many Jews came up with the idea of killing him with the conclusion that he has nothing to offer. Of course that was why he was there. Does it sound a little complicated? Let's delve back a little into the Jewish history. From the time of Judges and Kings in Israel, when the Israelites were faced with oppression, God always sent them someone who will help bring down their oppressors. You could see where they gathered their facts.

It was indeed an old mentality because this time it was never about a physical throne but the battle for dominance over what is both seen and unseen. Adding to that, the liberation this time was not centered only on Israel but the entire world at large. So how was our master going to take the throne, killed or be killed? He was to be killed. Are you still amused? How can the dead reign? It depends on your understanding of what powers life. He was to give up his ghost and enter the realm of death and retrieve authority over death so that those who believe will not be held bound.

This is the faith I hold into, death cannot hold me captive. I am a creation of full advantage. This is why I keep on saying it, Christianity is not a religion per say, but a revived mentally of instead of being conformed to the world's dark pattern, you are operating under a transformation through mind renewal. A price was paid some 2000 years ago which was attributed the 'good Friday' and freedom sets in. We were oppressed by death through the sin of our first father. Thanks to God's infinite mercy, Christ showed up.

To conclude, let me add. I wish everyone out there a happy Easter. Whether you are a Christian or not, the door of freedom and liberty is open to you if only you will believe in Christ's redemptive works. Life is beyond just living a hundred years or less, our purpose of creation was to image our creator and one of such features is immortality. Once again, Happy Easter Friends. Still waiting for your easter Bunny feedback.
