Another platform crash!! CBEX

I could remember the era of MMM (Manrovi Monrial Movement) if I still get it right. Many Nigerians were left in serious jeopardy. A new friend I met was just discussing this with me, how he lost close to 1M Naira in that Ponzi Scheme. That money was huge by then and he even told me he is yet to recover after many years have passed. Who knows, that might have been his life savings. How much will that money have turned to by now? It's tragic that things can happen and take you five to ten years backward.

We never learn, humans are one being that is full of surprises. We mix our greed and laziness together and forget the past lessons. Oh!, that was then, it will be different this time around, yet the same protocols and procedures is what makes up the new platform. Of Course after the MMM crash, others of such surfaced and ended the same. Year after year, we keep hearing of platform crashes and the latest is CBEX. Many Nigerian should know of it, 'an assumed trading platform that pays you 100% in 30 days'.

Let me just pause here to ask, if someone promised to pay you 100% for an investment in 30 days, who is the real thief? You must be hardless, I mean, how do you get to believe this can be a lasting project? How much is the APR of HBD? 15% currently. note, this is an annual payment for locked HBD. Even some banks don't pay up to this amount. I have seen investments that return 3-4% APRs. I read through a tweet that someone posted on X early before the later CBEX platform crash. It was very clear that something is up. His feedback message was this, 'I have seen someone invest $1000 and make $5000 after 30 days, this is a clear proof CBEX is a scam'.

Many still doubted until last Friday when the withdrawal issues started. The entire crash reached its peak on Monday when they could no longer access funds, error messages and zero balances. As we speak, according to reports, Nigerians have been allegedly scammed of upto N1.3 trillion. Many invested their life long savings, others borrowed funds, some sold properties to make the most of what they assumed was an opportunity.

Cry all you want, the crash is real. I just told someone about the crash and that was part of the feedback I got, tears do dry out. I mean, why she gave that feedback is because many just love the 'get rich quick' track. No one is ready to settle for a long term investment, put his or her hands into making gains little by little. We have to be true to ourselves, you can't blame anyone for any misfortune you encountered in the process. As I will always say, loss is a transfer of gains; N1.3 trillion off one set of individuals and into another.

videos are trending, CBEX head office in Ibadan has been stormed by victims of the fraud and some have gone away with what they can carry as compensation. When I was discussing this with my brother yesterday, he was amazed that they even went as far as renting such a big office space in Ibadan. I had to let him know that those guys behind that platform have nothing to lose. First and foremost, they are not the ones renting the office but innocent people who wish to become regional managers and ambassadors of a company they have never met its CEO.

Some earlier trending videos showed they even held lots of investment seminars and held talks too on a radio stations. I know this particular set is not the real fraudsters. The 'behind the scene' programmers decided to unplug their server and leave them all in jeopardy. I always sensed something was fishy about this platform. I was told by a friend to key into it and make some bucks yet I refused, we have had this experience in the past. You will hear, just invest and bring people under you and that's all. Is it my reputation you want to ruin? I and those I am introducing will suffer losses and they will feel bitter anytime they see me.

To conclude, let me add, the issue of online scamming is unending and Nigerians have just faced what I assume, the biggest of all time currently. Will people learn? Of course not, just give them some time and they will be looking for something similar project to start over. HYIP's are real so also is its risk of getting financially wrecked. My added advice is that you should check your heartbreak limits before you risk more than just finance.
