A little sanitation exercise

I just put up a thread concerning the month of April. Have you observed today is April 26th? Ok, I am not just talking about your normal calendar routine, what I mean is how the month of April has gradually closed down. There is always something to learn from every moment. The clock keeps ticking and there is nothing you can do about that. It is one reason I keep saying there is a need to be a little easy with yourself. Without doubts, we can say we've not (or should I say most of us) have not been able to meet up with our first quarter vision.

Not an encouraging one anyway but at least you just have to be happy for life. Four days from NOW and you are in the second monh of the second quarter. Personally, I have decided to be a little more at ease with myself. Call it laziness if you wish, it takes some level of understanding to let go or readjust many things you entangle yourself. I will always wish myself the best and that my dreams come true but not at the cost of my life or health, there is something much better to die for than physical wealth, that's my own view.

That was by the way, I never knew today was the last Saturday of the month until I heard it in a conversation people were making when I was on a public transport. It just shocked me once and I threw my mind of it. I was heading somewhere and did not want to distract myself with our day to day worries. What brought about that was that today there will be sanitation. Ahh! Sanitation?. I had some sanitary work to do around the compound and office but I wasn't too sure I will be able to meet up. Maybe Monday morning I will get up much earlier and fix that.

Every last Saturday of the month over here is our state sanitation day. I really appreciate the government for this idea. It has kept our state as the cleanest in the country. At least I am proud of that. Some month the sanitation is always strict (no vehicular movement) until 10:Am while others, the government permits movement as long as you've made sure your environment is clean. To be very precise, I haven't really seen sanitation officers moving about to see if this is normally done. But we as citizens are always at our best. When you just see your neighbor start you can't just stop joining. In the end, it is always fun and also a little way to exercise yourself.

So it had been one hectic one again for me this week, I started work in the office early enough so I could take a break this Saturday. Friday was the peak of my weakness and I felt within me, I won't be able to be involved in the exercise. ALL of a sudden, something happened and I got revived early enough. So what should I do with this revived energy? That was when I recalled that conversation I heard on the bus. Today is last Saturday (sanitation day).

I got up early enough to first keep the compound clean. It was enjoyable because I wasn't actually doing it alone. That's what always happens when people work in accord. I think I spent up to 2 hours in the entire process before reaching out to the office. It was also another opportunity to tidy it up. Spiders have been really disturbing my walls, I always wonder what the eat inside my office that they choose to cling to everywhere. Another annoying thing is that you can't just brush them off the wall anyhow. My entire office is painted white, TRY to force them out and you may have to plan a repainting anytime soon.

Do you always observe, when you stay too much in a place, you happen to careless about the walls. I never knew I had much spider web on my walls until I was drawn to it. I had to be very careful with both the spiders and their webs. Gradually, I took both cobwebs and spiders off my walls and wow! Whnen all was done, I just realized my office was more beautiful than before. It has stressed me a little anyway, nevertheless, I have achieved something very important. Cleanliness is part of a good business.

To conclude, let me add, I will always be in support of a neat and well kept environment. I really like the idea of environmental sanitation every last Saturday. It always helps to call us to the notice of one thing or the other we could tidy up either indoors or outside. In the end, this little things add up to keep us in a healthy and hygienic environment. Always join to keep you environment clean.
