Spaten Oktoberfestbier with Deutsche Bahn

Hello and a nice sunday everybody! Since my last beer experience has been - lets say "boring" and disappointing, for today I totally have better news. This weekend I traveled to the "DigiDerma" convention in Berlin, a really cool event to learn how digitalization and innovational technologies can support diagnosis, therapie and patient admistration better. For the 4 hour trip I chose Deutsche Bahn 1st Class to travel because I like being seated comfortable and getting served food and drinks to my seat. First thing I recognized on the menu was "Spaten Oktoberfestbier". Well that has been a logic consequence since we have September and - belive it or not - Oktoberfest traditionally takes place in September all over Germany.
So I decided to give it a try, I was thirsty anyway and never tried that one before.

Usually the service in 1st Class of Deutsche Bahn is excellent, but not this time. The staff has been totally overworked and understaffed so the beer has been put hard on my table without words and also without a glass. So I had to run for the waiter and ask for one. He rudely answered "Not now, later!" And off he was. Guys! The clock was ticking for the perfect cold beer, especially because I couldn't ask for icecubes (second post without icecubes by the way - my life is getting out of control 😱). Some how later and just in time for my beer not to lose its beery integrity I finally got a glass.

Look and feel

The beer itself was crystal clear, with a middle dark color. It poured with a lot if foam so I had to pour very slowly. The foam disappeared quickly anyways.

Taste

Refreshing! Very nice balanced! Not to tangy, yet not boring. People, although it has been served poorly, although its just a beer in the train, although there is no fancy, cloudy or what else look - It was great! A very good, somehow honest and solid experience wich I definitely want to recommend for your next trip with Deutsche Bahn during Oktoberfest-Time!
