WHAT 2025 WAS FOR ME

HAPPY START TO THE WEEK TO EVERYONE AT #hive

Today I'm starting with something different. It's not an illustration post, but it is partly related to art. Last night I thought, "What if I do a short post about what 2025 was for me?" So, with this, I'm starting the week.

Well, at the beginning of the year, around April, during Japan's cultural week in my city, I met some gentlemen who are very good people and very involved in art and culture. I've grown fond of them in a short time, and they've helped me with some things: Mr. Luis Cubillan Fonseca and Mr. Pedro Douhali.

This was at an exhibition that's also part of what happened to me this year, something that made me happy and surprised. It was the first drawing salon in Carabobo, and I was very happy to have been selected even though I didn't have high hopes.

As a gift of friendship, I made a portrait of Mr. Luis, and I was very pleased with the result; it's very much in my style.

Going back to the topic of the first drawing exhibition, I was truly surprised; I didn't think I would be selected, and seeing myself on the list was very good news because it's the first exhibition of its kind at the state level.

Stepping away from art for a bit in this section to keep things organized, I finally obtained my Spanish nationality after years of trying, which was very good news.

And to close out the year, which in turn will connect with this 2026, I met a nice person from China remotely who invited me to participate, initially, in an international art exhibition with posters. At first, it was just one poster, and then they asked if I wanted to do more, and I ended up doing 10, hahaha. I really enjoyed it, to be honest: 5 black and white posters and 5 in color, varying in styles and techniques. After that, I designed the certificate that will be given to the 100 best posters and to the judges, who, by the way, I was also a judge for, so it was one good piece of news after another.

And honestly, I can say that 2025 was a very good year for opportunities and meeting great people, so I can't complain.
