Are you wild at heart πŸ€”β£οΈπŸ€ͺ

The Wild At Heart is yet another spectacle in terms of high-quality indie games available on the PS Plus game catalog. This one has one of the most artistic art styles that I've seen in a game. That coupled with the core gameplay equals something well worth exploring.

The Wild at Heart is an enchanting indie adventure game developed by Moonlight Kids and published by Humble Games. Released in 2021, the game introduces players to a captivating world filled with mystery and magic. Players take on the role of two children, Wake and Kirby, who venture into the wilderness and discover a hidden realm known as the Deep Woods. The game seamlessly blends exploration, puzzle-solving, and a heartfelt narrative to create a memorable and atmospheric gaming experience.

At its core, The Wild at Heart draws inspiration from classic adventure games, offering a charming art style reminiscent of storybook illustrations. The game's hand-drawn visuals and whimsical characters contribute to the overall fairy-tale atmosphere. As players explore the lush landscapes of the Deep Woods, they encounter magical creatures called Spritelings, each possessing unique abilities that aid in both puzzle-solving and interacting with the environment. The cooperative gameplay element allows players to strategically deploy Spritelings to overcome obstacles and unlock new areas, fostering a sense of camaraderie between the characters and the player.

The narrative of The Wild at Heart unfolds gradually, revealing the mysteries of the Deep Woods and the connection between the characters and their fantastical surroundings. The game's emphasis on exploration and discovery, coupled with its emotionally resonant story, creates an immersive experience that appeals to players of all ages. With its charming aesthetic, engaging gameplay mechanics, and heartfelt narrative, The Wild at Heart stands out as a delightful indie gem that captures the essence of childhood wonder and adventure.

I was able to absorb the first half-hour of this game with absolute joy. It offers a simple or difficult playthrough depending on the difficulty you pick. Both of which will have you digging into the deeper parts of your mind to figure out how to move forward. This is something I genuinely love about video games so much.

This looks like the kind of simplistic puzzle-oriented game that I would really enjoy. Is this a PS-Plus offering at the moment?

Wild At Heart is indeed on the PS Plus game catalog right now. That's how I found it. It's simplistic and beautiful, but also a fair bit challenging.
