Sker Ritual gameplay and first impressions
Classic zombies formula turned horrific 🫣
Sker Ritual has been in early access on PC and Xbox since 2022. I recently discovered that a demo for the game was released on PlayStation. This lead me to discover what the game is all about. Sker Ritual will have it's full release in April of 2024.
Sker Ritual is a spin-off to 2020's survival horror game Maid of Sker. Sker Ritual is a round-based co-op fps. Think Call of Duty Zombies, Killing Floor, with even a hint of Bioshock.
It's scary, has a cool steampunk aesthetic, and most importantly, doesn't suck when playing it. I had a lot of fun with this game despite only being able to play solo in the demo. The full game will have matchmaking and you can play with three of your friends.
The formula of surviving rounds while completing objectives is at play here. You can upgrade your weapons, gain perks, and decide what else to spend your money on. It's pretty much identical to the older COD Zombies, but far more terrifying. It is nothing like MW3's weird new "Zombies" mode that feels very little like what we are used to.
Fair warning, I scream quite a bit at the beginning of the gameplay portion of this video. I legit was getting jump-scared over and over. Then I began to get used to the game and not feel quite so tense. It became a lot of fun quickly.

If this game jump-scared you then it must be really good. Is the "00:00-4:03" called Prologue? I love it. I too was surprised and almost screamed at 5:05, hahaha.
The jump scares ease up the more you play it, but I had no idea what to expect when first starting this game.
Since my childhood I am very fond of watching scary movies and playing such games and it looks very beautiful in the trailer so I will definitely try to play it tomorrow.

Hey man! A gameplay and a game that certainly looks very attractive in which it makes you spend a few hours playing!
The demo itself is at least worth playing. However if you wish to play with friends, then the full game must be purchased.
