My internet connection was down for an entire day and I SURVIVED

The struggle was real πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈπŸ›œβŒ

Monday was a rough day for me. I woke up at 730 am to an email from my internet service provider saying there was an outage in my area. Every other time I've received this type of email, my service was uninterrupted. I made it almost 3 years of living in my current apartment before my internet connection ever failed.

I found out that there was some construction going on and they somehow managed to mess up the internet for the most central part of downtown. Businesses were unable to accept debit card payments and it was causing all sorts of problems.

It wasn't until 11 pm that finally the internet was restored. That means I went a whole day without being able to do a lot of the things I normally do. It was pretty boring, but also kind of peaceful.

In today's video, I wanted to talk a bit about what it was like to not have internet for a day. I've grown so used to always having it that I really was stunned for it to be gone all of a sudden. I know many people deal with this type of thing regularly, but for me here where I live it is rare.

Enjoy the video! I'm playing some more Fortnite while I talk about all this. They just added the web slingers back in honor of Spider-Man Miles Morales.

Thanks for watching and be sure to drop any comments you may have down below, I will get back to everyone.

It was an unfamiliar feeling. It's been so long since I lived a life without technology.

My β€žsurvival recordβ€œ was 8 days during a holiday some years ago. πŸ™‹πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ First 1-2 days are the hardest.

8 days 😱 I could do that if I was traveling somewhere fun, but not just sitting at home.

You have been able to feel what many people out there have felt, Bro. Ha ha..

What you said in your video about what it was like to not have internet for a day is something that holds true.
When we are all connected to everyone around the world and then disconnected, it is a serious accident.

Be thankful that this rarely happens where you are, because there are certain areas where communication has to be cut off for days due to internet network interruptions, and some even have no network at all.

I'm tremendously thankful that I don't have internet connection issues regularly. It's something that I imagine most people on earth still struggle with. Even if it is working, internet speeds are much slower in many places.

Internet, social media becoming part of over lifestyle, we are spending most of over time online that's why when there is anything missing we feel bored

Next step is living in VR. I don't think that'll happen anytime soon, but it will eventually I most likely.

Hopefully not the first of many. With all the talk of the failing grid, failing infrastructure, cyber attacks and of course, a government bent on tyrannical destruction, we will be lucky to make it through the year with our internet intact 🀣

Glad to hear it was peaceful for you. Some will go absolutely bonkers with no internet.

I'm surprised there are not more interruptions, you mentioned many good reasons why it may happen more than usual.

Last night was hectic for us, we haven't had electricity whole night, and it was very hard for us to sleep in such a hot weather with out electricity.

Good grief that sounds uncomfortable. I was about your climate and looked up your weather forecast. The results made me feel even worse for you and your family.

The worst time to go without electricity is when it is extremely hot or cold. Then it becomes more than just an annoyance, but also a threat against your well being.

Has your electricity come back on yet?

I know many people deal with this type of thing regularly, but for me here where I live it is rare.

I had more or less the same thing happen to me as you. Although in my area it was not uncommon for the internet to go down, it never took more than a few hours to come back, unlike other areas where it would go down for days. However at one point in 2019 my internet went down never to return. I went 2 years without connection due to structural problems with the company, surviving on mobile data haha.

Maybe I exaggerate, but I would say it was the worst time of my life πŸ˜….

2 years! That's an eternity. Sounds pretty miserable. Worst time of your life doesn’t seem like an exaggeration to me.

Someone also wrote about his internet condition that was down for some hours
A lot of people faced that. Who knows why?

It will just be like the world is ending.
Hahaha

I would let myself think that it could have been an attack on the grid. However, it was just a very small portion of my town that was affected, so I don't really think it was anything more than an accident.

How did you do it? Like seriously I got so dependent on having an internet connection I swear I'd get a heart attack if it's off for a whole fucking day...

Im getting pissed just when it disconnects πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Just sat in a corner and stared at a photo of myself all day and night as I jerked off while listening to opera music 🀣

I bet you were in a dark place during those 3 days πŸ˜†

Your cat needs to be a skin or at least some cute back bling.

living without internet for 1 day is not a big deal, you're not going to die hahaha... here where I live we have power outages every day, 3 hours a day to be precise...

I was being facetious. I know that others such as yourself have a much more difficult time with inconsistent internet and electricity.

Haha yeah in this day and age, not having the internet feels like doomsday! 🀣
However, I do enjoy that peace you get once in awhile.
And i believe in DISCONNECTING TO CONNECT!

It gets super inconvenient when you are running a business... otherwise I can handle it, at least to some extent... and for a limited time.😎
