Diablo IV gameplay and first impressions

There will be a lot of blood 🩸😈

Well well well, Diablo IV just landed on Xbox Game Pass. This happened the exact same day that I purchased an Xbox Series S late last month. I totally was not expecting this game to be in my library, but I'm so glad that it is finally.

I have been trying hard to not succumb to curiosity and spend money on Diablo IV. I wanted it at launch, then when I saw it on sale for $30, but have ignored that purchase until now. Getting it with Game Pass feels oh-so-good.

I said curious because this is actually my first time ever playing a Diablo game. Unless you count the hour or so I spent tinkering with Blizzard's free-to-play mobile game Diablo Immortal. To me that doesn't count.

The closest game to this that I've played is Warhammer Chaosbane, which I quickly got addicted to until I finished it. That game was good, but I expected Diablo IV to be far better. Even with all of the hate this game often gets, it's undeniably a good game.

I love a good ARPG. I get all lusty for the loot, like many gamers do. This game sure has a lot of it. Before all of that though, I first had to decide which class was right for me. I ended up going with a Barbarian named Ichrovius. I gained inspiration from the word ichor when thinking of this name. I knew his appearance wouldn't matter all that much thanks to constantly being under armor. Still, yet, I made him bald, bearded, and tattooed like me.

After that, I jumped right into the game. Diablo IV is so much fun right from the jump. You start pretty weak, just like your enemies. It didn't take long for me to start unlocking abilities though. My character is already starting to get pretty beefy and I'm sitting somewhere around level 10.

I will without a doubt be playing a lot more of this game. As for now, check out my first impression video for Diablo IV below. I talk a lot about what I truly think of this game. If you ignore all of the negative criticism it gets, there is plenty of fun to be had here.

Thanks for watching and be sure to drop any comments you may have down below, I will get back to everyone.

Your patience has paid off, I'm glad you didn't have to leave so much money to enjoy this game your character looks great reminds me of a kind of warrior that is in the For Honor, to vitiate a lot to reach the top friend

Yes, at last!
For Honor warriors are all badass, so that's a nice compliment.

Every time I see this video game I can't get enough of it, it's really epic, I haven't had the opportunity to play it yet, but I did get to play its previous installment, where I really liked the mage's vocation, he has incredible abilities.

I was so tempted to go the magic route. I just couldn't resist going barbarian.

Game Pass for the win decently xD! That's awesome you get to try out Diablo IV without the full commitment. Barbarian's a great choice for a first playthrough – love the brutal style! Did you check out the skill tree yet? Some of those later Barbarian abilities look insane.

I’ve made it to level 25 or so. Ive unlocked a decent bit of the skill tree, but not all of it. I like how easy it is to respec and try different abilities.

I love Diablo's animations, it's a game that's not my style but I've always wanted it to be, the closest I got to play was Lost Ark, but this is something very different in terms of experience. I've always found Diablo IV to be quite fresh in terms of gameplay.

Btw, I would love to play Diablo just to get to know the Lore, plus all the setting one encounters, although being all dark and macabre I have a hard time connecting on that side.
