The Power of the Ruler of the Seas
In search of new strategies for my battles in Splinterlands, I'm getting to know the game's cards better and today I'm going to talk about the Ruler of the Seas, a legendary monster from the water deck that will be very useful for allied monsters and will be a nightmare for enemy monsters with magic attacks.
I remember that the Ruler of the Seas was very popular in battles in Splinterlands back in the day, in fact, it is still used quite frequently in Champion League battles, but it is not very common to be seen in lower leagues, even in the diamond league, which is the league I'm currently playing in, but the Ruler of the Seas is still an incredible monster to have in battles.
The image above shows an overview of the Ruler of the Seas monster, it is a legendary monster from the water deck and it has magic attacks and 3 abilities.
Even if Ruler of the Seas didn't have any abilities, it would still be a great card because it has 4 magic attack at its maximum level, which is a lot of attack for a monster that costs 6 mana. But what makes it special are its abilities, and I'll talk a little about them.
In total, Ruler of the Seas has 4 abilities, which are: Blast, Swiftness, and Silence.
Blast - With this ability, Ruler of the Seas will deal 50% damage to monsters adjacent to the monster it attacks, and since Ruler of the Seas has a powerful attack, this ability makes it even more incredible in battle.
Swiftness - With this ability, Ruler of the Seas will increase the speed of allied monsters by +1 while it is in battle.
- If Ruler of the Seas is defeated in battle, allied monsters will lose the speed bonus they gained from Swiftness.
Silence - With this ability, the Ruler of the Seas will decrease the magic attack of the opponent's monsters by -1 while he is in battle.
- If the Ruler of the Seas is defeated in battle, then the opponent's monsters will recover the magic attack they lost due to the Silence ability.
The Ruler of the Seas is a monster with a perfect combination that causes a lot of damage in battle while helping allied monsters and hindering the opponent's monsters.
If you use summoners like Alric Stormbringer or Valnamor that increase the magic attack of allied monsters, then the Ruler of the Seas will become even more incredible in battle because he will cause even more damage, but he has a great weakness, which is the Magic Reflect ability, so if he faces monsters with the Magic Reflect ability, the Ruler of the Seas can be easily defeated in battle.
- Monsters with the Magic Reflect ability deal 50% of the magic damage received as damage to the monster that attacked them with a magic attack.
There are a wide variety of monsters in Splinterlands and discovering new strategies is fun so I'm getting to know all the monsters better so I can come up with amazing strategies that will help me advance through the leagues in the game.
