My Goal in the Frontier Format in Splinterlands

avatar

In this post I'll talk a little about my progress in the Frontier format in Splinterlands.

In Splinterlands I'm playing in 2 formats and they are:

  • Frontier Format
  • Wild Format

I chose these 2 formats because they are the easiest for me because I'm comfortable playing with cards from older editions, so the Wild format is perfect since I can use cards from all editions. The Frontier format is also great because I don't need to rent cards or SPS to play it, so I have the freedom to play whenever I want and earn some rewards.

Soon I will test the Survival format because I can take advantage of the cards I use in the Wild format to use them at the end of the season in the Survival format and increase my earnings in the season.

Before continuing to talk about Splinterlands, I'll talk a little about Arcade Colony.

Arcade Colony

Arcade Colony is a web-based platform where mainstream games can deploy Web3 features. Newly created games, as well as previously released games, can now add tokens, digital collectibles, trading, renting, earning, and governance to their games. Thus, Arcade Colony hosts a series of published games similar to the Epic Games Store, Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Steam, but unlike Web2 publishers, Arcade Colony augments new and existing games with Web3 features.

For more information about the platform, read the Whitepapper.

There are 4 games on Arcade Colony and they are:

Let's go back to talking about Splinterlands and the Frontier format.

My focus on the Frontier format is low, and that's because I play more for fun, but my goal is to reach the Gold league to earn better rewards and evolve my Foundation cards more easily.

Foundation cards are very cheap on the market, but I want to evolve all my Foundation cards using only my earnings from the Frontier format, so I'll evolve them little by little. If there are any interesting updates about Foundation cards, then maybe I'll visit the card market.

In the Frontier format, players can collect rewards 3 times a day, this was my first reward of the day.

The Foundation cards you receive in the Frontier format are tradable, so it's a great way to get cards to sell and buy cards from other editions or put money in your pocket.

I didn't get any legendary or epic cards, but I did get the Arcane Curator and the Dread Tafarian cards, which are great cards.
