Facing the Explosive Weaponry Rule by Increasing My Monsters' Attack Speed

Today I'm going to talk about how attack speed is important when the Explosive Weaponry rule is used in battles in Splinterlands.

Explosive Weaponry - This rule makes all monsters in the battle receive the Blast ability, which means they will deal 50% additional damage to monsters adjacent to the monster they attack.

In this battle rule, attack speed is a priority because the monsters will deal a lot of damage.

I'll use this battle as an example, this is one of my favorite strategies for the Explosive Weaponry rule with the life deck.

I'll explain in detail how my strategy works, and for that to happen, I'll explain the function of each card I used in the battle.

Grandmaster Rathe - This was the summoner I selected for the battle and he has 3 functions:

  • Grant +1 armor to allied monsters.

  • Grant the Void Armor ability to allied monsters.

  • Grant the Amplify ability to allied monsters.

The armor will be useful against melee and ranged attacks, but since the monsters have the Void Armor ability, it will also be useful against magical attacks.

The Amplify ability will increase the damage caused by the abilities: Corrosive Ward, Magic Reflect, Thorns, Return Fire and Retaliate by +1.

In my opinion, Grandmaster Rathe is a great summoner, especially if you have any of the abilities I mentioned earlier with the Amplify ability.

With the help of Grandmaster Rathe, I will have a small additional defense against all types of attacks and this will be very useful in the Explosive Weaponry rule.

Now I will explain the monsters I used in this battle.

Blinding Reflector - This was the monster I selected to defend in the first position, it is a great choice because it has a lot of armor so the Void Armor ability will be very useful and it has the Magic Reflect ability so it will be a great ally against magical attacks.

  • Another reason to have the Blinding Reflector as an ally is the Blind ability, it increases and decreases by -15% the chances of enemy monsters hitting the attack.

Xenith Monk - This is the monster I selected for the second position, it will not be able to attack in this position but it will be a great defense against the Blast ability since it has the Heal ability.

Adelade Brightwing - This is the monster I selected for the third position, it will be of great help because it increases the speed of all allied monsters by +1 and also restores the armor of the monster that suffered the most damage to the armor.

Djinn Renova - This is the monster I selected for the fourth position, it will be very useful increasing the life of all allied monsters by +1 and healing the monster in the backline that suffered the most damage.

Supply Runner - This is the monster I selected for the fifth position, just like Adelade Brightwing, it will be of great help by increasing the speed of all allied monsters by +1, it will also increase the life of all allied monsters by +1.

Time Mage - This is the monster I selected for the sixth position, it will be of great help by decreasing the speed of enemy monsters by -1 and also decreasing the armor of enemy monsters by -2.

With this strategy I was able to easily defeat my opponent without losing any of my monsters, I had more attack speed and more defense so all my opponent could do was watch his monsters being defeated one after the other in sequence.

Having a good strategy is very important in Splinterlands and whenever I face an opponent I try to learn something new like a new strategy or try to fix a mistake I made when selecting my cards and this is what makes Splinterlands fun for me.
