Lamesahan Coastal Area in Barangay Punta Silum In Manticao, Misamis Oriental

Summer season is already happens on some parts here in the Philippines particularly here in Mindanao. As for that, beaches and other cool areas are now well visited by lots of people who came from far place to relax themselves and experience how beautiful the place they will visited. Beaches and any wonderful coastal areas can be found everywhere and some of it are located at the Province. Here in the Municipality of Manticao in the Province of Misamis Oriental, there are lots of beaches and wonderful coastal areas can be seen and found. Some of it are located in Barangay Punta Silum the last Barangay of Manticao. It is not quite far from urbaned areas and it takes a few minutes of walking from Main road going to the coast. Other people who already visited here calles this place Lamesahan because of lots of big and flat rocks and corals.

Before reaching the coast, it needs to pass here in this very old and abandoned staircase made of concrete. It is made at the slope parts of the cliff so everyone can easily climb down from the cliff straight to the coastal areas. This very old concrete staircase almost covered with soil and wild grass and the reason why there is a staircase because there was a resort built here. Many years has past when the structure was totally abandoned and only this stairs left.

This walls is made of solid concrete supported with lots of big rocks so the structure cannot be easily destroyed by rough waves. This is very old sea walls and does bot destroyed by strong water currents. It keeps the place to keep away from collapsing due to big waves and it makes the dry place still intact. Those piled rocks was got at the coast and it piled perfectly before filling up the concrete. Few meters of concrete walls built here and it is still standing intact until today.

In order for everyone to get at the water, this main way here is the only way out going to the sea. Every hight tide season, big waves will reached in here and some parts of this structure are submerged at the sea water. It builts very perfectly so it wont be destroyed by sea water and the most interesting about this is it built hundred years already just as what the elders told us during the visit here.

This place here is safe from waves that is why fishermen placed their fishing small boats so it wont reach by sea water. Aside of that, big and tall trees also grows here and it brings shade and cool areas. Most of the the trees can be seen and found here are Talisay trees and aside of that, it is perfect for camping trips and picnics because of the plain portions of the areas facing to the sea. This big tree really intend to plant this near at the concrete wall so it can help to have strong support of the structure everytime when it will hit by big waves.

Aside of small wooden boats, few houses are also built near at the sea. Houses are built at the top of the concrete structure, hundred of boats placed at the top and few waitingshed owned by few residents.

Tons of sands and peebles can be seen and found here, thats the reason why this place is perfect for summer getaway areas. Only few big rocks here and most of the place are tons with fine sands and peebles. Crystal clear sea water splashes here and very tempting for those who loves beach travel. The different colors of peebles and its sizes can gives a great and wonderful views of the place.

In terms of fishing activities, this areas here are perfect for fishing activities. Every afternoon, almost hundreds of small boats floating nearby along with the fishermen just to catch lots of fish for family meals and selling business. This wide deep blue sea contains lots of fishes, shrimps and crabs. It is also a perfect site for swimming adventure and perfect summer getaway and worth it to visit. Until next post, have a nice and safe travel to everyone.
