US Olympic women win Gold in another epic hockey battle with Canada. After cruising through the first 6 games of the tourney outscoring their opponents by a combined 31-1 (including a 5-0 win over the Canadians), Canada upped their game and took a 1-0 lead late into the third period. With just over 2 minutes left, the US pulled their goalie and Hillary Knight became the all-time US Olympic goal scorer when she deflected in a shot from Laila Edwards to send the game to OT. Just over 4 minutes into the 3v3 overtime period, Taylor Heise threw a perfect stretch pass from behind her own net, to a streaking Megan Keller. Keller made a you-gotta-see-it-to-believe-it move to get around a defenseman and chipped a backhand just over the pad of the Canadian goalie for the Golden Goal.

There now have been 8 versions of #Olympics women's hockey. 7 of them have featured the US and Canada in the Gold Medal game. This is the 3rd gold for the Americans while Canada owns the other 5. #hockey
