Coffee or Tea? Make a Choice

<div class="justify-content>

You decided to read this post, and right now, you're subconsciously choosing to keep going. It's the same way you get lost in the warm, milky embrace of a Saturday morning coffee, especially when the weather is just right but,

it wasn’t lost at first sight.

Growing up, I thought coffee was for old people (my Father drank it, my lesson Teacher did and my peers never drank it), it was black and bitter which would make it completely unappealing to any Teenager. So please tell me - Why would a young person like me willingly drink something that is bitter for breakfast? (wetin do milk, Milo and milo and sugar?). And besides, any edible thing as bold and dark as it could get, in powdered form, I was never going to be interested.

That was until three years ago.

It finally happened. I was pulling an all-nighter for my exams (in college) and stepped outside for a quick stretch. That’s when I noticed a long line at a nearby coffee stand. Wait, Wait, you mean people my age, who treat sugar like a main course, are willingly queuing up for coffee at 3 AM? Clearly, something was different. And I had to find out what. My initial thought was "The Coffee stand is a fuss. It's a way to disguise the real thing that is sold here" but

As I walked closer, I heard my name being called by a familiar voice. It was Grace, holding two cups of coffee and jogging toward me. 'David, you have to try this. You’ll love it,' she said, eyes gleaming. She knew my solid stance on coffee but was determined to change it. And so, she handed me a cup, sacrificing someone else’s order just so I could take a sip.

I took that first sip, and Oh My Heavenly Father.

You ever had a preconceived notion about something, only to taste it and feel like you're in a completely different world for those first three seconds? That was me. My expression said it all. The cream - I almost shed tears. The warmth -my tongue wept. Grace tried to take the cup back, but I handed her cash instead. I couldn’t risk waiting in line and missing out on that unique flavor. It is fair to say (dem use coffee do me that night)

Sometimes, our prior judgments hold us back from experiencing life’s unexpected pleasures. We judge a book by the cover that someone else described, missing out on the hidden gems. You're not going to associate with greatness because you heard some people become Great by paying with holes in their body ? Impossible. You're not going to eat pancakes without syrup because you heard the taste is sour?

Make that decision today to Live and Experience Life from an original standpoint. So you can have interesting stories to tell.
Don’t be like me. Give that coffee a chance and Get lost in the taste.

I Hope You Enjoyed Reading
