We follow the Lord by faith. || Seguimos al Señor por fe.

We see the disciples stop coughing and follow Christ.

16 Walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the sea; because they were fishermen. 17 And Jesus said to them, Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men. 18 And immediately they left their nets and followed him. 19 Going on from there a little further on, he saw James son of Zebedee, and John his brother, also in the boat, mending the nets. 20 And immediately he called them; And leaving his father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men, they followed him.

Mark 1:16-20

When the Lord found many disciples, even when he found Simon and Andrew who were brothers, like most of the others, they were not extraordinary at all, many were people who dedicated themselves to fishing and these were on the seashore. They used to listen to the teachings of Our Lord Jesus Christ and this is what allowed him to instill faith in them to leave their old life and follow the lord.

We see that on several occasions in the word of God we hear: "instantly" this is mentioned when these fishermen left everything, that is, they left what they had as nets or activities and followed our Lord Jesus Christ, this shows us the size of the decision they had made at that moment, the men left their main lifelong activity which gave them their livelihood. But this is not all, let us remember that during the ministry of Jesus Christ the disciples followed Jesus and traveled many places even far from their families, without the protection and security that they could have in their homes, they not only responded to the call of Our Lord Jesus Christ with simple In other words, they acted moved by faith, leaving everything else behind.

Perhaps our call to serve our Lord Jesus Christ is not as radical as he is loved by the disciples, but when the Lord calls us we have the opportunity to place all our trust and all our faith in him. These are an example that when the Lord Jesus Christ calls us to follow him, we must leave behind everything that can compete with faith in him, we must put our entire lives in service of our Lord Jesus Christ. Everything that generates security and confidence in us, what we believe in and what we are sure of is where faith in the Lord Jesus Christ can enter with faith in him, it can be success or comfort among other things, confidence in our ability.

Maybe we are not talking about leaving our city, our homes and our families to go after Our Lord Jesus Christ but it does imply a radical change of thought and actions. You are willing?

Vemos a los discípulos dejar tos y seguir a Cristo.

16 Andando junto al mar de Galilea, vio a Simón y a Andrés su hermano, que echaban la red en el mar; porque eran pescadores. 17 Y les dijo Jesús: Venid en pos de mí, y haré que seáis pescadores de hombres. 18 Y dejando luego sus redes, le siguieron. 19 Pasando de allí un poco más adelante, vio a Jacobo hijo de Zebedeo, y a Juan su hermano, también ellos en la barca, que remendaban las redes. 20 Y luego los llamó; y dejando a su padre Zebedeo en la barca con los jornaleros, le siguieron.

Cuando el señor encontró muchos discípulos aún cuando encontró a Simón y a Andrés que eran hermanos esto como la mayoría de los demás no eran para nada extraordinarios, muchos eran personas que se dedicaban a la pesca y estos a la orilla del mar solían escuchar las enseñanzas de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo y esto es lo que permitió que infundiese fe en ellos para dejar su vieja vida y seguir al señor.

Vemos que en varias oportunidades en la palabra de Dios escuchamos: "al instante" esto lo menciona cuando estos pescadores dejaron todo es decir dejaron lo que tenía como redes o actividades y siguieron a nuestro señor Jesucristo, esto nos demuestra el tamaño de la decisión que habían tomado en ese momento, los hombres dejaron su actividad principal de toda la vida la cual les daba el sustento. Pero esto no es todo recordemos que durante el ministerio de Jesucristo los discípulos siguieron a Jesús y recorrieron muchos lugares aún lejos de sus familias, sin la protección y seguridad que podrían tener en sus casas, no sólo respondieron al llamado de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo con simples palabras, éstos actuaron movido por la fe dejando todo el resto atrás.

Quizás nuestro llamado de servir a nuestro señor Jesucristo no sea tan radical como es amado de los discípulos pero cuando el señor nos llama tenemos la oportunidad de depositar en el todo nuestra confianza y todo nuestra fe. Éstos son ejemplo de que cuando el señor Jesucristo nos llame a seguirle debemos dejar atrás todo aquello que puede competir con la fe en él, tenemos que disponer nuestra vida entera en servicio nuestro señor Jesucristo. Todo aquello que nos genera seguridad y confianza, aquello que creemos en lo que estamos seguro es donde la fe en el señor Jesucristo puede entrar con su fe, puede ser éxito o comodidad entre otras cosas, confianza en nuestra capacidad.

Quizás no estamos hablando de dejar nuestra ciudad, nuestras casas y nuestras familias para ir detrás de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo pero si implica un cambio radical de pensamiento y de acciones. ¿Estas dispuesto?
