It is necessary that our lives be a light in the midst of darkness, that this light reflects Christ and in this way attracts others to Him.

You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses, how will it be salted? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
The light of the world
14 You are the light of the world; a city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 5:13-16

We will start with an excellent question: what are we communicating through our lives? Jesus Christ urges us to be light and salt, that is, the world is watching us at all times. Let us think about the following: if we add salt to a meal, its flavor improves considerably; if we turn on a small light in the middle of a dark room, the darkness simply ceases to exist. This means that our attitudes, behaviors, character and everything that surrounds us must communicate to others the importance that God has in our lives and the need that this implies for each human being, and the rest that the Holy Spirit will occupy.

How can we begin to have this type of meaningful life? To have this type of life is simple but at the same time difficult. It means that we must begin to read and study the word of God. As we meditate, learn and understand His word, we listen and apply the biblical principles in our lives, thus having the expected results.

A good way that we can take advantage of learning the biblical lessons is by observing the lives of characters like Moses, Abraham, David, Ruth, Mary, Daniel and Paul among others, the stories of each of these characters and many others teach us how to face specific situations, we can learn from the mistakes, the decisions they made and how they interact with God, all this gives us a light to apply daily in our lives and thus reach the fullness that we expect as children of God.

Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.

1 Corinthians 11:1

In these biblical stories we also learn that God has a specific purpose for each one of us although He has the general purpose that we be light and that through us the word of grace runs and is glorified for the knowledge of all humanity, God wants the image of his son to be impregnated in us and in this way we be the beacon of light of salvation in the midst of the darkness of this world. Do you accept the challenge?

Es necesario que nuestras vidas sean una luz en medio de la oscuridad, que esta luz refleje a Cristo y de esa manera atraiga a otros hacia el.

Vosotros sois la sal de la tierra; pero si la sal se desvaneciere, ¿con qué será salada? No sirve más para nada, sino para ser echada fuera y hollada por los hombres.
La luz del mundo

14 Vosotros sois la luz del mundo; una ciudad asentada sobre un monte no se puede esconder. 15 Ni se enciende una luz y se pone debajo de un almud, sino sobre el candelero, y alumbra a todos los que están en casa. 16 Así alumbre vuestra luz delante de los hombres, para que vean vuestras buenas obras, y glorifiquen a vuestro Padre que está en los cielos.

Mateo 5:13-16

Iniciaremos con una excelente pregunta ¿qué es lo que estamos comunicando a través de nuestras vidas? Jesucristo nos insta a que seamos luz y sal o sea que el mundo nos observa en todo momento, pensemos en lo siguiente: si añadimos sal a una comida su sabor mejora considerablemente, si en medio de una habitación oscura encendemos una mínima luz la oscuridad simplemente deja de ser. Esto quiere decir que nuestras actitudes, conductas, carácter y todo lo que rodea nuestra persona debe comunicar a otros la importancia que Dios tiene en nuestra vida y la necesidad que esto implica cada ser humano, del resto que ocupará espíritu Santo.

¿Cómo podemos comenzar a tener este tipo de vida significativa? Para tener este tipo de vida es simple pero a la vez difícil, significa que debemos comenzar a leer y estudiar la palabra de Dios, a medida que meditamos, aprendemos y entendemos su palabra escuchamos y aplicamos los principios bíblicos en nuestras vidas teniendo así los resultados esperados.

Una buena manera que podemos aprovechar de aprender las lecciones bíblicas es observando la vida de los personajes como Moisés, Abraham, David, Ruth, María, Daniel y Pablo entre otros, las historias de cada uno de estos personajes y muchos otros nos enseña de cómo enfrentarnos a situaciones específicas, podemos aprender de los errores, las decisiones que tomaron y como interactúan con Dios, todo esto nos da una luz para aplicar a diario en nuestras vidas y así alcanzar la plenitud que esperamos como hijos de Dios.

Sed imitadores de mí, así como yo de Cristo.

En estos relatos bíblicos aprendemos también que Dios tiene un propósito específico para cada uno de nosotros si bien tiene el propósito general de qué seamos luz y que a través de nosotros la palabra de gracia corre y se glorifica para el conocimiento de toda la humanidad, dios desea que en nosotros sea impregnada la imagen de su hijo y de esta forma ser nosotros el faro de luz de salvación en medio de la oscuridad de este mundo ¿aceptas el desafío?.
