Una Iglesia que se preocupa por los demás. || A Church that cares for others.

When believers decide to respond to the needs of others, God is glorified through us, and at the same time we are greatly blessed.

25 And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested him, saying, "Teacher, by what shall I inherit eternal life?" 26 He said to him, "What is written in the Law? How do you read it?" 27 He answered, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself." 28 And he said to him, "You have answered well; do this, and you shall live."
29 But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?" 30 Jesus answered, "A man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers, and they stripped him of his property. and striking him, they departed, leaving him half dead. 31 Now a priest happened to be coming down that road, and seeing him, he passed by on the other side. 32 Likewise, a Levite, when he came near the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to him; and when he saw him, he had compassion. 34 He came to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 On the next day, as he departed, he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, "Take care of him for me; and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I return." 36 "Which then of these three, do you think, was neighbor to him who fell among the robbers?" 37 He said, "The one who showed mercy to him." Then Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise." Luke 10:25-37

As believers, many of us belong to a church; we call this the Body of Christ. Many other believers have the opportunity or need to find answers within the church, within the same Body of Christ or in the same community. But for this to happen, each member must give and respond to others.

10 And he who gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater will supply and multiply your sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness, 11 so that you may be enriched in every way for all liberality, which through us produces thanksgiving to God. 12 For the ministry of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints but also abounds in many thanksgivings to God.

2 Corinthians 9:10-12

A clear example is when a brother decides to support another, pray for them, or simply when we sit next to a new church member to study the Word of God, encouraging them to do so. There are many ways to support and serve others within the church. We can go beyond this, such as visiting the sick, going out to preach the Word of God, etc. Let us not limit ourselves to not being active members who give of themselves to others for the growth of the work.

Perhaps simply thinking about all the needs we have can make us feel overwhelmed, but the first thing we must always remember is that we must love one another. This requires a certain effort from each of us, since one person alone cannot be willing to serve and help everyone. That is why we need to be discerning and organized, each of us helping a certain number of people. Let us remember that God is on our side; He will guide us, help us, give us the strength and resources to do it, and God will bless us.

Putting others before ourselves is putting God's word into practice, an admirable Christian behavior. If each believer commits to responding to the needs we see around us, we can be sure that the church will be transformed into a great example of the body of Christ functioning together in coordination for the glory of God.

Cuando los creyentes decidimos responder a las necesidades de las demás personas, Dios se glorifica a través de nosotros y en el mismo momento somos grandemente bendecidos.

29 Pero él, queriendo justificarse a sí mismo, dijo a Jesús: ¿Y quién es mi prójimo? 30 Respondiendo Jesús, dijo: Un hombre descendía de Jerusalén a Jericó, y cayó en manos de ladrones, los cuales le despojaron; e hiriéndole, se fueron, dejándole medio muerto. 31 Aconteció que descendió un sacerdote por aquel camino, y viéndole, pasó de largo. 32 Asimismo un levita, llegando cerca de aquel lugar, y viéndole, pasó de largo. 33 Pero un samaritano, que iba de camino, vino cerca de él, y viéndole, fue movido a misericordia; 34 y acercándose, vendó sus heridas, echándoles aceite y vino; y poniéndole en su cabalgadura, lo llevó al mesón, y cuidó de él. 35 Otro día al partir, sacó dos denarios, y los dio al mesonero, y le dijo: Cuídamele; y todo lo que gastes de más, yo te lo pagaré cuando regrese. 36 ¿Quién, pues, de estos tres te parece que fue el prójimo del que cayó en manos de los ladrones? 37 Él dijo: El que usó de misericordia con él. Entonces Jesús le dijo: Ve, y haz tú lo mismo.

Lucas 10:25-37

Como creyente mucho de nosotros pertenecemos a una iglesia, a esto lo llamamos el cuerpo de Cristo y muchos otros creyentes tienen la posibilidad o deben encontrar respuestas dentro de la iglesia, dentro del mismo cuerpo de Cristo o en la misma comunidad. Pero para que esto suceda cada miembro debe darse y responder a favor de los demás.

10 Y el que da semilla al que siembra, y pan al que come, proveerá y multiplicará vuestra sementera, y aumentará los frutos de vuestra justicia, 11 para que estéis enriquecidos en todo para toda liberalidad, la cual produce por medio de nosotros acción de gracias a Dios. 12 Porque la ministración de este servicio no solamente suple lo que a los santos falta, sino que también abunda en muchas acciones de gracias a Dios;
