We talk about serving Christ and being faithful to Him at all times. If we talk about our secular work, do we act the same way?
Slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, with sincerity of heart, as you would Christ; 6 not by way of eye-service, as men-pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart; 7 serving with good will, as to the Lord and not to men, 8 knowing that whatever good anyone does, this he will receive from the Lord, whether slave or free.
Ephesians 6:5-8
There's a phrase that goes around the world that says: "If you truly love what you do, you'll never work a single day in your life." But the reality is that we don't always have the opportunity to do only what we love, nor do we always work with people we can easily get along with. Even if we love our job, there are always tasks we can't quite bear. But this is where our attitude comes into play. It shouldn't depend on our feelings or the job itself, but rather on our privileged position. As children of God, that should be motivation enough. The work we do in service to God is done out of love, and this allows us to feel fulfilled each day of our lives.
22 Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything, not only when they are watching you, as if you were trying to win their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord.
Colossians 3:22
When we see ourselves as servants of the Lord Jesus Christ, we get much more out of the work we are doing, and our attitude is different because in this way we are aligned with the word of God. When we talk about obedience, we're not talking about hiding complaints or resentment to project a false image; we're talking about genuine well-being within ourselves and with others.
7 serving wholeheartedly, as to the Lord and not to men,

We are called as children of God to be His servants, and this work isn't limited to the church, our brothers and sisters, or the community. A large part of our service is in the secular work we do. As employees, we must also apply His biblical principles of obedience, always remembering that even though we have a boss here on earth, the Lord Jesus Christ will always be our supreme authority. He is constantly watching over our actions, and not only that, He also knows our intentions and thoughts. His desire is that we apply justice not only in the spiritual realm but also in our work. Do you accept the challenge?

Hablamos de servir a Cristo y serle fiel en todo momento, si hablamos de nuestro trabajo secular, ¿actuamos de la misma manera?.
Siervos, obedeced a vuestros amos terrenales con temor y temblor, con sencillez de vuestro corazón, como a Cristo; 6 no sirviendo al ojo, como los que quieren agradar a los hombres, sino como siervos de Cristo, de corazón haciendo la voluntad de Dios; 7 sirviendo de buena voluntad, como al Señor y no a los hombres, 8 sabiendo que el bien que cada uno hiciere, ese recibirá del Señor, sea siervo o sea libre.
Efesios 6:5-8
Hay una frase que da vuelta por el mundo que dice lo siguiente: "si amas realmente lo que haces, no estarás trabajando ni un solo dia de tu vida". Pero la realidad es que no siempre tenemos la oportunidad de hacer solamente lo que nos gusta tampoco es que siempre trabajamos con personas con las que podemos tratar de manera muy fácil. Aún si el trabajo en el que tenemos es el que amamos, siempre hay tarea que no soportamos del todo. Pero aquí es donde entra en juego nuestra actitud, esta no debe depender de nuestros sentimientos o del trabajo que tenemos sino de nuestra posición del privilegio que tenemos y como hijos de Dios eso debe ser suficiente motivación, el trabajo que realizamos al servicio de Dios es por amor y esto nos permitirá sentirnos realizados en cada día de nuestras vidas.
22 Esclavos, obedezcan en todo a sus amos terrenales, no solo cuando ellos los estén mirando, como si ustedes quisieran ganarse el favor humano, sino con corazón sincero y por respeto al Señor.
Colosenses 3:22
Cuando nos vemos a nosotros mismos como servidores del señor Jesucristo sacamos mucho más provecho del trabajo que estamos realizando y aquí también nuestra actitud es diferente ya que de esta manera estamos alineados con la palabra de Dios. Si nos referimos a la obediencia, no estamos hablando esconder quejas o resentimiento para reflejar algo que no es, estamos hablando de un bienestar genuino con nosotros mismos y con las demás personas.
7 sirviendo de buena voluntad, como al Señor y no a los hombres,
Efesios 6:7
No se se llamado como hijo de Dios de ser sus siervos y este trabajo no solamente en la iglesia, con los hermanos con la comunidad, gran parte de nuestro servicio es en el trabajo secular que llevamos desarrollando. Así como empleados también debemos aplicar sus principios bíblicos de obediencia recordando siempre que aunque tengamos un jefe aquí en la tierra, el señor Jesucristo siempre será nuestra suprema autoridad y él en todo momento está supervisando nuestras acciones y no sólo eso, también conoce nuestras intenciones y nuestros pensamientos, su deseo es que apliquemos justicia no solamente en el ambiente espiritual sino que también en nuestro trabajo ¿aceptas el desafío?.
