¿Qué no puede hacer Dios? || What can't God do?

Dios tiene el poder y la capacidad para hacer mucho más de lo que pedimos o entendemos en la vida de los demás pero sobre todo en nuestras vidas.

Después le apareció Jehová en el encinar de Mamre, estando él sentado a la puerta de su tienda en el calor del día. 2 Y alzó sus ojos y miró, y he aquí tres varones que estaban junto a él; y cuando los vio, salió corriendo de la puerta de su tienda a recibirlos, y se postró en tierra, 3 y dijo: Señor, si ahora he hallado gracia en tus ojos, te ruego que no pases de tu siervo. 4 Que se traiga ahora un poco de agua, y lavad vuestros pies; y recostaos debajo de un árbol, 5 y traeré un bocado de pan, y sustentad vuestro corazón, y después pasaréis; pues por eso habéis pasado cerca de vuestro siervo. Y ellos dijeron: Haz así como has dicho. 6 Entonces Abraham fue de prisa a la tienda a Sara, y le dijo: Toma pronto tres medidas de flor de harina, y amasa y haz panes cocidos debajo del rescoldo. 7 Y corrió Abraham a las vacas, y tomó un becerro tierno y bueno, y lo dio al criado, y este se dio prisa a prepararlo. 8 Tomó también mantequilla y leche, y el becerro que había preparado, y lo puso delante de ellos; y él se estuvo con ellos debajo del árbol, y comieron. Y le dijeron: ¿Dónde está Sara tu mujer? Y él respondió: Aquí en la tienda. 10 Entonces dijo: De cierto volveré a ti; y según el tiempo de la vida, he aquí que Sara tu mujer tendrá un hijo. Y Sara escuchaba a la puerta de la tienda, que estaba detrás de él. 11 Y Abraham y Sara eran viejos, de edad avanzada; y a Sara le había cesado ya la costumbre de las mujeres. 12 Se rio, pues, Sara entre sí, diciendo: ¿Después que he envejecido tendré deleite, siendo también mi señor ya viejo? 13 Entonces Jehová dijo a Abraham: ¿Por qué se ha reído Sara diciendo: Será cierto que he de dar a luz siendo ya vieja? 14 ¿Hay para Dios alguna cosa difícil? Al tiempo señalado volveré a ti, y según el tiempo de la vida, Sara tendrá un hijo. 15 Entonces Sara negó, diciendo: No me reí; porque tuvo miedo. Y él dijo: No es así, sino que te has reído.

Génesis 18:1-15

Recordemos que Sara ya estaba pisando los 90 años y en ese mismo momento un visitante se acercó y le dijo a su esposo que ella daría a luz un hijo en el lapso de un año, ella simplemente pensó que estaba sola Y que absolutamente nadie le había visto cuando ella se rio con un sentimiento de incredulidad, pero esto Dios le reveló a su esposo Abraham, aunque ella trató de decir que no era así, podemos ver que ni siquiera una risa en lo oculto ante el hombre se puede esconder delante de Dios él, ve y contempla todos los aspectos de nuestras vidas.

Recordemos que para Sara esto era algo nuevo, era la primera vez que había escuchado esta promesa para su vida y su descendencia. Dios habló a su esposo mucho antes siendo que él ya tenía casi 100 años, ambos eran de avanzada edad y Dios prometió que ella tendría un hijo y lo llamarían Isaac. Recordemos que Abraham había tenido un hijo con la criada de estar, con Agar, pero Dios nuevamente recalcó que tendría un hijo de Sara aún en su vejez porque este sería heredero de esa promesa que Dios había a Abraham como también a Sara quien aparentemente no había creído en el primer momento.

2 Y haré de ti una nación grande, y te bendeciré, y engrandeceré tu nombre, y serás bendición.

Génesis 12:2

Podemos interpretar la reacción de Sara como una reacción incrédula, pero aún así no fue descalificada para poder recibir el milagro de la promesa que Dios había puesto sobre ella aquel día, una promesa que fue descrita al lujo de detalle. Vemos una vez más que las promesas de Dios son mucho más grande que cualquier duda que podamos tener, que son en algunos casos totalmente incomprensible o irracionales para nuestra mente.

Así como en el caso de Sara que toda su vida no tuvo fertilidad, no podría embarazarse, Dios le demostró que para él no hay límite aún aquellos que para nosotros es totalmente imposible para Dios solamente es una palabra.

Éste también es un claro ejemplo de cómo aplica la palabra salida de la boca de Dios para nuestras vidas, si Dios habla para nosotros solamente debemos reposar en sus promesas con la confianza en que Dios hará lo que ha prometido aún cuando parece imposible.

And they said: Do as you have said. 6 Then Abraham hurried to the tent to Sarah, and said to her, Take quickly three measures of fine flour, and knead it, and make bread baked under the embers. 7 And Abraham ran to the cows, and he took a young and good calf, and gave it to the servant, and he hastened to prepare it. 8 He also took butter and milk, and the calf that he had prepared, and set it before them; and he stayed with them under the tree, and they ate. And they said to him, Where is Sarah your wife? And he answered: Here in the store. 10 Then he said, I will surely return to you; And according to the time of life, behold, Sarah your wife will have a son. And Sara listened at the door of the tent, which was behind him. 11 And Abraham and Sarah were old, of advanced years; and Sara had already ceased the custom of women. 12 So Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am old shall I have pleasure, since my lord is also old? 13 Then the LORD said to Abraham, Why did Sarah laugh, saying, Is it true that I will give birth when she is old? 14 Is there anything difficult for God? At the appointed time I will return to you, and according to the time of life, Sarah will have a son. 15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I did not laugh; because she was afraid. And he said: It is not so, but you have laughed.

Genesis 18:1-15

Let's remember that Sara was already turning 90 and at that same moment a visitor approached and told her husband that she would give birth to a son within a year, she simply thought she was alone. that absolutely no one had seen her when she laughed with a feeling of disbelief, but this God revealed to her husband Abraham, although she tried to say that it was not so, we can see that not even a laugh in the hidden before the man He can hide before God, he sees and contemplates all aspects of our lives.

Let's remember that for Sara this was something new, it was the first time she had heard this promise for her life and her offspring. God spoke to her husband long before she was already almost 100 years old, they were both elderly and God promised that she would have a son and they would call him Isaac. Let us remember that Abraham had had a son with the servant girl, with Hagar, but God again emphasized that he would have a son from Sarah even in his old age because he would be heir of that promise that God had made to Abraham as well as to Sarah who apparently had not believed at first.

2 And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you, and I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.

Genesis 12:2

We can interpret Sara's reaction as a disbelieving reaction, but even so she was not disqualified from receiving the miracle of the promise that God had placed upon her that day, a promise that was described in great detail. We see once again that God's promises are much greater than any doubt we may have, which are in some cases totally incomprehensible or irrational to our minds.

Just as in the case of Sara, who had no fertility all her life, she could not get pregnant, God showed her that for him there is no limit, even those that for us are totally impossible, for God is only a word .

This is also a clear example of how the word that comes from the mouth of God applies to our lives, if God speaks for us we must only rest on his promises with the confidence that God will do what he has promised even when it seems impossible.
