Nuestra fe puesta a prueba. || Our faith put to the test.

In life, we go through times when our faith and commitment are tested, and this allows both to be strengthened, thus experiencing God's love and power in an exceptional way.
Then the angel of the Lord called to Abraham from heaven a second time, 16 and said, "By myself I have sworn, declares the Lord, because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, 17 that I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars of the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will possess the gates of their enemies. 18 And in your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice."
Genesis 22:15-18
Let's look at this situation Abraham found himself in. He began walking with God long before God asked him to give his son as a sacrifice. First, God asked him to leave his home and family to go to a land that God had promised him, and Abraham only had to let himself be guided by God. After this, God asked him to sacrifice his son. Isaac was the son of promise and was chosen to continue Abraham's descendants. Through him, God had promised to make a great nation and thus bless the whole world. Naturally, this contradicted God's promises, since by sacrificing Isaac, God's promise apparently would not be fulfilled. I believe this has been one of Abraham's greatest challenges, yet he faced it and obeyed God.
This example of Abraham is applicable to our lives as well, since there are times when God tests the commitment we have made and also our faith in His promises. These are opportunities for us to trust and test that commitment. In turn, it is a great expression of God's love, and all of this helps us grow, helps us mature, and thus have a much clearer vision of who God is and His work in us.
By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac. And he who had received the promises was offering up his only son, 18 having been told, "Through Isaac shall your offspring be called." 19 Realizing that God is able to raise even from the dead, from where, figuratively speaking, he also received him back.
Hebrews 11:17-19
Abraham was tested through this act, and his faith and obedience were shaped by his knowledge of God. He fully trusted that God would fulfill His promise even if his son Isaac died. He understood that God could raise them from the dead and still do so.
Then Abraham said to his servants, "Stay here with the donkey, while the boy and I go over there and worship, and then we will come back to you."
Genesis 22:5
This text reveals Abraham's complete trust in God, and just as he also expressed that trust to his servants, Abraham fully trusted God, and he conveyed that same trust. If we are not going through a trial today, let us remember that this is God's opportunity to show us his faithfulness. We must remain steadfast and obedient to what he has promised. Perhaps the experience may not be the best, or it may be painful, but God will flood us with his love at all times, and he will inspire us to continue.

En la vida atravesamos por momentos en el que se pone a prueba nuestra fe y nuestro compromiso y esto permite que ambos se fortalezcan experimentando así de manera excepcional el amor y el poder de Dios.
Y llamó el ángel de Jehová a Abraham por segunda vez desde el cielo, 16 y dijo: Por mí mismo he jurado, dice Jehová, que por cuanto has hecho esto, y no me has rehusado tu hijo, tu único hijo; 17 de cierto te bendeciré, y multiplicaré tu descendencia como las estrellas del cielo y como la arena que está a la orilla del mar; y tu descendencia poseerá las puertas de sus enemigos. 18 En tu simiente serán benditas todas las naciones de la tierra, por cuanto obedeciste a mi voz.

Observemos esta situación en la que se encontraba Abraham, él comenzó a caminar junto con Dios mucho antes de qué Dios le pidiera que entregue a su hijo como sacrificio. En primer lugar Dios le pidió que deje su hogar y su parentela para que vaya hacia una tierra que Dios le había prometido y que Abraham solamente tenía que dejarse guiar por Dios y después de esto Dios le pide que sacrificar a su hijo, Isaac era el hijo de la promesa y era elijo por quien continuaría la descendencia de Abraham y a través de él Dios había prometido que haría una nación grande y así bendeciría a todo el mundo, naturalmente esto se contradecía a las promesas de Dios ya que al sacrificar a Isaac aparentemente la promesa de Dios no se llevaría acabo, este creo que ha sido uno de los mayores desafíos de Abraham, aún así él se enfrentó asimismo y obedeció a Dios.
Éste ejemplo de Abraham es aplicable a nuestra vida también ya que hay momentos en que Dios pone a prueba el compromiso que hemos hecho y también nuestra fe en sus promesas, esas son oportunidades para que nosotros confiemos y pongamos a prueba ese compromiso, a su vez es una gran expresión de amor por parte de Dios y todo esto nos ayuda a crecer, nos ayuda a madurar y de esa forma tener una visión mucho más clara de quién es Dios y su obra en nosotros.
Por la fe Abraham, cuando fue probado, ofreció a Isaac; y el que había recibido las promesas ofrecía su unigénito, 18 habiéndosele dicho: En Isaac te será llamada descendencia; 19 pensando que Dios es poderoso para levantar aun de entre los muertos, de donde, en sentido figurado, también le volvió a recibir.
Hebreos 11:17-19
Abraham a través de este acto fue probado y su fe y obediencia fue moldeada por su conocimiento de Dios ya que él confiaba plenamente que Dios cumpliría su promesa aún si su hijo Isaac moriría, entendía que Dios podría resucitarles de los muertos y aún así fuese.
Entonces dijo Abraham a sus siervos: Esperad aquí con el asno, y yo y el muchacho iremos hasta allí y adoraremos, y volveremos a vosotros.
Génesis 22:5
Este texto revela la total confianza de Abraham hacia Dios y como él también expresó esa confianza a sus siervos, Abraham confiaba plenamente en Dios y eso mismo transmitió. Si hoy somos nosotros que no estamos atravesando una prueba, recordemos que es la oportunidad que Dios quiere mostrarnos su fidelidad, nosotros debemos mantenernos firmes y obedientes a lo que él ha prometido, quizás la experiencia no puede ser la mejor o puede ser dolorosa pero Dios nos inundará con su amor en todo momento, nos infundirá aliento para seguir.
